Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro Order Status

Woah, that 12.9 is something else. After seeing all these videos of the 11-inch version, the 12.9 looks like the difference between the 13 and 16 inch MacBook Pros... if you catch my drift.
I have been thinking a lot about how much time I’ve been spending in LumaFusion, Procreate, Affinity Designer/Photo, etc. lately. Bigger is simply just better for those kinds of apps.
I just got a late 2019 model 15” MBP from my employer, and every time I use it I’m reminded that I really just prefer working with my iPad over my Mac these days but often wish it was a bit bigger. Time to move up to the big boy iPad.
Think I'm on the 4th wave, as I'm April 27th unfortunately. Best Buy is still saying ships on the 23rd for 24th-27th delivery. I don't have the funds to reserve both and knowing my luck, they could prepare to ship at the same time and charge me. shoot.
Ordered on April 16th - Status is still processing, and haven’t got a charge on my card yet. The delivery slot I got was the 21st to the 23rd.
I‘m currently a Canadian living in Poland, and on the Polish Apple Store website they didn’t have any option to choose Canada for my billing address, so I just gave my current Polish address. I hope the charge will go through, as it’s my Canadian address that’s attached to my credit card!

Mine arrived at the DHL facility in Eindhoven today (like every Apple product that gets shipped with DHL, it went from Eindhoven to Brussels and back to Eindhoven during the night). Too bad they are closed during the weekend because I live a few kilometers from Eindhoven. 
Still have to wait till Monday.

Am even more excited at the prospect of this keyboard having seen today’s videos. It looks like exactly the product I was hoping for which should let me ditch my laptop once and for all.

I’m absolutely buzzing to get mine now - it really looks made for the 12.9“, will be interested to see what 11” owners think. The clearance between the keys and the bottom of the screen looks much better on the larger size.
I use my iPad a lot for reading music which is why I got the 12.9 inch. The only thing really holding me back from using the iPad full time is the lack of extension support in Safari or other third party browsers. I do a lot of music creation as well, and as much as I’d like to see Avid making an iPad app for Sibelius, StaffPad is pretty impressive right now.
I agree, it does look better being larger. You would think not, and it's early, but it may be that this 12.9 version will be a big draw for 12.9 sales. Like me, for one

Agreed. The letter keys seem the same size on both 11 and 12.9 magic keyboards, but most other keys and the space bar are smaller On the 11. I’m curious to know the weight of the larger keyboard now that the 11“ has been confirmed as 600g and also if the trackpad is bigger. It looks a little wider, but hard to tell. I hope we get to see them side by side soon.

I love my 12.9” iPad Pro, my current one is 2018 having had the 1st gen before this. I’ve been waiting for an improved keyboard and full trackpad support for a while and the magic keyboard sounds like the perfect answer. My order is processing but mine isn’t expected to be delivered until April 24 to May 1. I was working the day orders became available and didn’t order until I read about it here until that evening.
Other than for work, I only use my iPad Pro and expect this to be the case and be even more enjoyable going forward with the magic keyboard.

They usually ship the day before in the UK as the stock is in the country and as the UK is small it’s easier to deliver the next day. Hopefully they start shipping tomorrow. I’m very excited for a keyboard 😂 but I’m more excited to have it as a charging dock.
Yeah that’s what I expected, hoping it ships tomorrow! I am excited but also cautious. If the keyboard doesnt blow me away I am going to have to consider if I want to keep it as £330 for a keyboard isn’t chump change and I already have a Smart Keyboard folio, but iOS has bugs where keyboard doesn’t input into text fields on messenger for example when you switch to the app and you need to close the app fully and reopen it to type with the keyboard plugged in.
Small gripes like that may lessen the experience and I don’t really want that on my very expensive keyboard haha
I get that with messenger - so very annoying but I expect that is FB thing.
I’m not convinced it will ship out on Sunday for Monday - I think Tuesday but just don’t want to get my hopes up for Monday. I’m currently sat on sofa with legs out and smart folio keyboard wobbling away as I type.
I’m on the TestFlight beta but maybe i should go back to the App Store release to see if that fixes the issue, its super irritating. And yeah, i mean I remember with my AirPods Pro, I ordered on the 28th, they were dispatched at 9am on the 29th and they arrived on the 30th so I hope there’s a chance of them coming Monday if they dispatch tomorrow!
This is what I get for not being on MR lately. I saw the SE news, but not the Magic Keyboard! Thought it wasn’t coming until May. I ordered for my 11” Pro last night and have a horrible April 29 - May 6th delivery date, BUT I also have the military discount. I see with Best Buy, I could have it by Apr 24th, but I would pay $33 more. I think I will wait and see if I hopefully move up in the cue.
Enjoying the review videos in the meantime. Just makes me more excited to get it eventually.

Technically speaking, you still get it before the previously announced May release.
