Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro Order Status

For people that have received the 12.9.. is this worth getting rid of the 12.9 Smart Folio Keyboard? I am an artist and admittedly, do flip it behind the iPad to illustrate, however already have a case coming for that purpose. Is this going to be worth returning my Smart Keyboard Folio for?
I know it's different for everyone, but if someone here had to pick one to keep.. which would it be?

Mine has arrived! 12.9 inch version. This message is the first thing I am typing on it.
The reviews are right that it does have quite a bit more heft to it than the SK Folio, and I am going to have to retrain myself to use the trackpad rather than reaching up to the screen! It does feel very solid and the keyboard itself is very pleasant to type on - again very different to the Folio but in a very good way!
The raising of the iPad on the hinge compared to the Folio is nice and the micro-adjustment of the viewing angle is very welcome.
On the lap it’s much better feeling than the Folio and a lot less prone to the topple that I had with that, and I can see myself using it more often like that on the sofa etc.
I think I’m gonna like this ☺️

I think it's worth it. It's so premium and there are many pluses over the folio. Backlit, hard press keys, smooth adjustment and so easy to undock the iPad for tablet mode. Plus the chargethrough port is so much nicer than having the cable half way up the iPad when charging.
I need to try and sell my Smart Keyboard Folio now but no idea how. I dunno where to sell it. Bit scared of eBay too!

Mine arrived, UK. Earliest DPD slot ever for me, 0815-0915. Usually around 1400.
Oh boy, I absolutely love it! First experience with a trackpad & iPadOS, could never be bothered hooking an external one up to. It really is excellent.
Used it entirely on my lap so far, works brilliantly. Doesn’t feel like its going to tip back or anything (12.9”), very stable.
Already loved my iPad, now it’s got so much better I can’t believe it.
Only thing missing for me is a function row, but heyho.
Had a Brydge for a bit before I returned it...the Magic Keyboard is an entirely other league.

Just arrived and glad you don’t need to click the trackpad each time to go where you want and you can just put your finger over it To click text and links e.t.c
This typing experience is awesome coming from ASK...trackpad could be bigger but still well. The furtherest viewing angle I would use is more often.
Just getting used to having the trackpad there and not always using my finger.

The more I use it, the more I love it. I have enabled Tap to Click though as the click sound on the trackpad is far too loud for my tastes. Other than that small issue I think it is perfect.
I love how sturdy it is, how it looks, how easy it is to close, how easy it is to undock the iPad, the chargethrough port, the typing experience itself, the darker grey colour. It is sublime.

My Magic Keyboard got delivered two hours ago. Great experience so far! Damn happy with that sexy thing!

Ordered the 11" magic keyboard, I have an ETA of 4/29-5/6, ordered on 4/18. I hope the delivery date improves.
Still a couple of hours away for me. Although I've been refreshing the DPD app and watching the driver seemingly do laps round my house. He's not been more than a 5 minute drive away from me all morning, and at some points must have passed the end of my road, but still the wait goes on....

I had the same thing happen to mine. I logged into Fedex Delivery Manager and found that Apple created a new label and pushed back delivery one day to Thursday.
I am so glad I decided to jump on BestBuy.com and try there. I had originally ordered on Apple.com on the 17th around 7pm and got the dates of 4/28 - 5/5. I was very bummed. I saw a few people on here saying to try Best Buy so I jumped on the website last night and ordered, mine is coming tomorrow now!! It says getting ready to ship and as soon as I get the shipping confirmation I am cancelling my Apple order. I can't wait!
Did you do the free shipping option, or the next day/2-day shipping option?
I paid the extra $21 or whatever it was for the fastest shipping, my total after tax came to like $343. Well worth it to me to have it tomorrow. The free shipping said it would arrive the 28th. I was almost going to pay someone on here $500 to get it on Monday, the 27th! Whew, thank god I went on Best Buy!
I'm going to decide when it arrives, but if the Magic Keyboard is what I hope, I'll get rid of the Smart Keyboard.
Has anyone who ordered on Amazon in the USA had any update? I preordered the 12.9 version but don't have a shipping date and it is still showing "Currently Unavailable" on the item page.
