The iPad keyboard finally arrived just after 7:00 PM last night. I’d been worried about having a naked iPad Pro in the several weeks since it arrived. (It’s the new 12.9 iPad Pro, which arrived the second week after release.) In the meanwhile, I’d been using a metal stand and an old Apple wireless keyboard.
At around 7:15 PM, a message appeared on my phone that the package (Magic Keyboard) was left on the front porch. In the act of getting up, I knocked into the charging cable sticking out of the iPad. The iPad, dropping from the height of about four feet, clattered loudly on the hardwood floor. And, if this wasn’t horrifying enough, the metal stand on which it had been sitting landed squarely on the iPad glass, with one corner of the stand striking with all the force of the impact.
I’ve checked in all sorts of light. No damage whatsoever to the iPad. Absolutely none.
I may have had a heart attack, however.
