Even if the announcements are conservative I‘m sure they will release something I’ll be happy about. Even though iPadOS hasn’t matured as fast as I want, it HAS greatly improved over the years. Who would have thought they would have allowed mouse support? I trust that whatever happens will be beneficial.

I am not expecting much tomorrow, but always excited to see the new OS features, etc. The days of major changes seem to be over, just slowly improve nowadays.

A question for the technical experts - what would iPad OS need to allow apps to replace functionality that now exists only on Mac OS?

I'm still rockin' my 2018 11" Pro, but I'm pumped for WWDC and the "special event" afterward. I had hoped to go back up to a 12.9" 2020 but BestBuy is ghosting my order that will now auto-cancel in 3 days. Oh well. :/

So either they announce something crazy and I go buy a 2021 12.9", or I'll wait for the 2022 12.9" and upgrade then. I still love my 2018 11" Pro. Excited to see where iPadOS is heading, though!

I don't see a MacOS running on iPad yet... but it's potential for maybe MacOS *apps* to run on iPad at some point... both on the same chip, etc now. We'll see.

I had such high upgrade happiness for you, chic, given your recent postings. This new news makes me Apple sad.

WWDC is honestly the event I look forward to most each year, because it means improvements for all of my devices, not just a new device or two that I probably won’t buy.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy other events too, but none of them quite brings the excitement that WWDC does for me.

I’m not getting my hopes up too high for tomorrow, but I’m hoping to be impressed, at least. I think it’s inevitable that the iPad will see some improvement, so I’m excited for that! I think I’ll probably jump on the iPadOS beta day one. I learned my lesson about day one macOS beta last year, so I won’t be doing that again.

Now imagine this:

Apple Calculator app on iPadOS.

Well, iOS 14 didn't really do much to change the world, neither did 13 or versions before, so I honestly don't see any difference with 15 either.

tomorrow they're gonna let us know that M1 iPad Pros can boot macOS. why else does that thing have 16GB inside when they ship iMacs and MBPs with less?

edit: i'll order an m-series desktop pro tomorrow if they drop one.
