How exactly does one turn on protectsecureboot in config.plist ?
All functions explained inside the manual. You better spend some time to read it.

e.g. For ProtectSecureBoot

The actual usage also demonstrated inside the sample config.

Therefore, after your read the manual, you can copy the key from the sample config to your own config.plist (if the key isn't there yet). Then modify the value to what you need.

e.g. If you want to turn on ProtectSecureBoot

Hey all, i am having this problem with flashed Nvidia gtx680 gpu.
I had no problem in legacy version of windows with nvidia gpu

I managed to install Efi windows 10 at last but having black screen at first boot then it says “Nvidia windows kernel mode driver” after a 45secs or more waiting.

My mac pro
2009 4.1>5.1
opencore 0.5.6 in a flash
Managed to install with @roobarb’s post and config file.
Tried different drivers for nvidia. No luck
What should i do? Is there a solution?
Is there any cofig option for OC?

Tried Open Core (Settings from Post 1) on a Mac Pro 3.1 (EFI64 GPU, APFS Rom Patch if that counts)

just copied the EFI Folder to a USB HDD and blessed it.

Just worked but maybe I have found a bug.

When I do

Code:
<key>AllowNvramReset</key>
<true/>

I get 1st option to reset nvram, it resets of course after delay and error messages.

When ESC key is pressed it takes me right to picture 2 with correct list of systems plus clear nvram option.

after ESC key:

It’s not OC. What you have to do is install an earlier version of windows and update to the latest Nvidia drivers from there, then update windows to latest.

Is it okay to install windows pro 1709 build? Then upgrade to latest?

I think I started with 16xx. This was windows legacy for me though but I assume this is what’s going on with you. Maybe when you had legacy you started with an earlier version? I know for a fact that the latest one is a black screen for gtx680. Be careful though because with EFI it might wreak havoc so make sore you have secure boot protection on in OC

For legacy one i starter 1709 again and 1903 is the one now i am on. Had no problem with gpu at legacy install. Will try the method you suggest. Thanks ;)

It says gtx 680 supports UEFI and the bios is there. I am confused :/
That's the Mac EFI UGA, not UEFI GOP.

GPU-Z CANNOT tell if your card has a real working UEFI GOP in the firmware. It only detect if there is anything in the EFI section.

It’s def happening here and gets posted a lot in the macgroup. My computer sleeps and wakes fine, but during sleep, it makes strange noises
AFAIK, that's not OpenCore related issue, but seems network related.

Both your blades are compatible, so, it's not what I was referring to.
I have inherited a WD blue 550 nvme ssd. Which macs will this work in ? I read there was an issue with the mac pro 5,1 , what about macbooks ? thanks ...
