Hmm, Ecoute just got an update and their screenshots are intact.

I honestly would resubmit with the same artwork. There seems to be something off with the review team considering they missed out on all that malware that's now in the news.
I could try but there's 2 reasons I may not:

1. They flag rejection reasons, and would recheck for those reasons in future updates.

2. If, In case they reject the next version with official Artwork screenshots, there'll be lots of waiting again to get reviewed and I'll be getting the same warning 2nd time, which won't be good.

Adding to that, I don't really know for sure if it's legal to use the Copyrighted Artworks in Screenshots without asking for any permissions from right holders. So, if I'm unlucky, the right holders may decide to sue me for say $50k-100k, (which might still be a low number) I'd totally go bankrupt if I have to pay such amounts.

So, I mean, even if some App Reviewers allows it, doesn't mean it's actually legal, they might be mistaken. Also possible that, it's okay to use the Artworks but who knows(I checked lots of places online but didn't really find an acceptable answer).

Anyway, v3.0 might be available in a day or two coz it's 6 days since I submitted it. And they mostly review on the 7th day. Let's hope they don't tell me that the Gradients I used are copyrighted .

I'm adding 3D Touch Quick Action support in Marvis v3.1.

So, If anyone has the new iPhone 6s or 6s Plus and would like to Beta Test Marvis v3.1 please let me know.

Also, any suggestions for what Quick Actions should I provide?

Those who're Experiencing an issue where the selected song doesn't play but the first song from the list plays.

You can keep Shuffle on and it'll get fixed. Or Restarting iPhone/StockMusicApp could also help.

PM me for v3.1 Beta.

That's actually an iOS Bug, which I solved for iOS 8.4, but now the fix doesn't work on iOS 9. Anyway, I've found another fix, coming in v3.1 very soon.

I'm having no problems with the latest version. I'm loving the many additions in version 3.0. I highly encourage others to check it out -- you simply won't find a more customizable, feature-rich music app. Can't wait to see what's being cooked up in versions 3.1 and beyond.
That's great to know.

So, about 3.1, I've done so much work and added so many features, that it easily qualifies for being 4.0. Just a few more days to finish now.

So when version 3.0 came out a few days ago I went ahead and updated through the store. After reopening the update I was like hmm this looks just like the previous version and not really like a number upgrade. Further more I was having small issues when playing a song it would again play the songs by that artist in shuffle mode even though I never had shuffle checked anywhere. So I just let it ride and thought I need to get it sorted out today so deleted the app and redownloaded it, after all that's what I did the last time this very same issue popped up.
Turns out the app store for some reason never actually updated the app to 3.0. I have no idea what version it updated to, I was probably using the same old version even though it said I had the latest updated 3.0 version. Anyhoo, I open the app after redownloading it and lo and behold I get the real 3.0 version and what can I say this is even more amazing than I thought. I keep saying I don't think it can get any better but it actually does! kudos to you on this development, it's hands down my favorite app on my phone. For one guy to be doing so much it amazing to see. You have my blind support.

That's weird, but happens to me many times, once I remember that the new version of Twitter app just came out and I tried instantly, but for some reason it didn't download the latest, but the previous version.

So, my guess is Apple takes time to process the new versions even though they're listed available.

Well, you keep saying it can't better, and I'll keep saying I still have many things in the bag. v3.1/v4.0(whatever I end up renaming) is almost done adding new things. Now I'm testing and fixing the issues.

Anyone interested in Beta testing?

So I downloaded the new version and let it scan my songs for Spotlight. I noticed the instructions not to close or navigate away from the app. Approximately half way through Marvis crashed out.

I didn't see that there was a way to execute a new scan.

I'm currently looking into the Crashes and don't worry there's no new Scan needed, it'd resume in background when you open Marvis.

I've updated Marvis+ Tweak to support iOS 9. Also added the ability to edit the 3D Touch Actions of Marvis(which was only possible if you had iPhone 6s), you might already be aware of tweaks like Forcy & RevealMenu which enable 3D Touch actions for older devices, it's useful for that.

Here's the repo you'll need to add to install Marvis+ : http://addy239.github.io/

Awesome, I just updated to 9.02 and was initially planning to just use stock iOS 9 for a few days before jailbreaking but couldn't last more than a few hours without the jailbreak. I did notice that Marvis+ (before your latest update) would crash my springboard and only load in safe mode. So ended up removing it but will update later today. Thanks for the update! love the 3D touch options as well. I used Forcy initially but I think I prefer RevealMenu just because it allows adjustment on haptic feedback.

Weird reason there was for springboard crashing, I had to change quite a lot to support iOS 9 even for my 10-15 line tweak.

And now you'll also be able to edit the 3D touch actions inside Marvis settings. Choose any 4 out of 18 available options.

I did use RevealMenu but its long press duration is longer compared to Forcy so I returned back to Forcy. Both are nice.

This is really an annoying bug - whenever I play any song other than the first one in the album, it always play the first song and then I doesn't even skip forward/backward to change song, it's like you are stuck with the first song and you've to listen to it.
Workaround I found is I always have "Repeat Song" on, if I switch to Repeat Off, it allows you to play any song you want. But it's not helpful because I like "Repeat One Song" while studying or relaxing.
Anyway, is this an iOS bug? This doesn't happen on Apple's Music app but only on 3rd party apps.

Btw, Marvis app is really nice especially since Apple's new hard to navigate new Apple Music focused app.

I hope you updated Marvis to latest version. And yeah the bug was iOS Bug but I found a workaround.

I was informed by a user that on 9.1 Beta, there was some issue when playing Cloud items for him(not playing the item he selected), but for another tester using 9.1 Beta it worked fine.

For Repeat One, Apple changed the way Repeat One works from 8.4, but I thought that pre-8.4 was better, as now Skip/previous buttons are of no use, they don't let you go to next song and keep playing the current playing song.

So, in Marvis I found some workaround to support the Repeat One song playback, just like pre-8.4.

Another very tiny bug I noticed is the play button still remains on pause sometimes. It functions like it's supposed to but the icon doesnt change right away until you click a couple times.

I don't think it's related entirely to iOS 9 as I remember seeing in 8.1 as well.

Yeah, that could happen sometimes, if iOS doesn't send Playback State Change notifications. Also, I've noticed that it is common with iPhone Landscape Mode, which isn't iOS's fault, I'll fix it in next version.

Could you elaborate on what did Apple change about Repeat One? I always had this on but since 8.4 it's messed up. How does it work now? Doesn't Repeat One mean play the same song again? I would like to know what's the new behavior and logic behind that.
I have noticed Marvis does it sometimes, if you could tell what triggers it to lock on to the first song, I'll try avoiding that. When it does that I have to force close the app and reboot and it works sometimes but not always. or switch to Apple's Music app -> play a song in Repeat One mode and then launch Marvis.
Also, does Marvis acts as a skin and the actual playback is done from Music app? Under battery usage, it shows Music app along with Marvis even when the Music app was not launched.

Okay, first of all Marvis should play the Songs fine even with Repeat One on. I mean to say in my(and other tester's) tests it worked fine everytime, played the song I wanted to play. I agree that v3.0 had some bugs but they were solved in v4.0. It's strange to know it doesn't work as expected for you, but iOS always has some bugs since iOS 8.4, though they're reproducible for all.

How Repeat One works in iOS 8.4+ If repeat one is on, the queue is flooded with same song over and over to infinity(or nearly), so if you press Skip or Previous, as the queue has the same song it'd just play it again and also if the song ends playing normally, it should definitely play the same song again because of Repeat One.

In pre-8.4 Pressing the Skip/Previous used to actually play the song which should have played if Repeat One was off.

So, in Marvis I've supported the Pre-8.4 behaviour now, because it's the one that makes sense.

You're right about Marvis being just a skin over Music App, it just asks iOS music player to play certain songs in certain order and control more stuff like Skip, Play/Pause and all.

Thanks Aditya for your detailed explanation.
So the change since iOS 8.4 affects skip forward/backward. But why was the first song in the album getting played and not allowing to play any other song? Was it a bug in iOS or Marvis and what caused it if not a bug?
I almost stopped playing music in Repeat One because of that bug and playing the whole album wasn't the ideal solution.
