I see the lines fine on the picture, Now the lines are changing into waves after a member said it was waves, No Line Waves or anything No problems at all only whiny people.

Many have perfect eyes and can see the pictures fine, Kinda think they need more then glasses.

The lines are much harder to see in real life than in this picture. Again not to belabor the point but it's not a big deal at all since it's so hard to see...but it is there.

We both own MBAs and have seem multiple other MBAs as well. It's kind of strange that you have not seen the lines on ANY MBA and I have seen it on EVERY MBA. It's either one heck of a coincidence or we are just not seeing the same things.

Personally I want to see one that doesn't have the lines then I will believe they exist. I'm not trying to shoot down all of you that have perfect screens, I just need to see one for myself ;) I'm going to try out a second Apple store....the one close to my house has MBAs and they all have the same problem.

It's the flickering, not the lines

The lines are 100% unimportant -- at least for me. I have them, but they are quite faint and don't bother me at all. But the screen flickers -- that's the real problem, I think. If you look at desktopsplit-loginscreen.jpg 1440×960 pixels on the new MBA, you can see the flickering quite clearly. I suspect even those screens that are 100% free of lines have the flickering. It would be interesting to find out. The flickering makes it hard to stare at the screen intensively for extended periods.

GLHIII - Then if every screen has the flickering - and you are one of the only people who cannot stare at it for too long - the answer is simple.

maybe YOU are defective :) your internal refresh rate is off - since almost no one else has issues with their machines for long periods of time (again - going by you saying that every screen has the flickering issue)

Hey, people can be defective too! But Applecare won't cover that.
