Well, they told me on the phone it was in Winnipeg @ 6 pm, so we stepped out, and shortly after 7 pm the website finally updated to show that it had arrived in Calgary at 5:26 pm. Of course, they tried to deliver it at quarter after 7 pm... and now the website helpfully says they loaded it on a truck at 6:00 pm...
Obviously their tracking system leaves a lot to be desired...

When I called them at 4 cause only one of the two iPads I ordered came (at 11:30), they said they are going till midnight... Otherwise you can pick it up tomorrow from 12-3 at Don Mills.

I live in Bruderheim (40km north of Edm) and I got mine at 9am. But FedEx dose not delivery here so it came in yesterday to EDM and then FedEx gave it to Canada Post to deliver. So I went to the postal office and got it by 9am. It turned out faster for me.
Argh.
After being told by both Apple and Fedex it would be available on Friday, Fedex calls me today, Saturday, to tell me Apple requested they don't do small towns until Monday. What the hell, Apple? At least write that in the email.
I won't even be home Monday to get it, unlike Friday where I took a day off work.
They're about to get an ear-full.

Perhaps but I don't think Apple should have stated delivered by the 28th so blatantly if they can't even own up to that claim. It said that for almost three weeks straight and now they decide they can't?
I took a whole day off work, lost money, probably have to do it again (because Apple won't let them just leave the package at our door and I won't be home to sign) and I'm a little annoyed at how this was all handled. I normally have great service with Apple, and this is a nasty smudge on the company's track record.
Called up Apple, they apologized and offered to credit me the cost of my Apple case (around $50 CAD) not bad, I took it and shrugged it off. What's done is done, poorly handled, but at least they acknowledge it and offering compensation.
I recommend everyone who wasn't pleased call Apple and offer a recount of your displeasure.

Nice. I phoned in and was offered a case but told her I already had a couple so she offered me a keyboard dock or wireless keyboard. I chose the latter.
Then I phoned FedEx and complained about the website not being updated and she told me the package was at the local depot and I would get a call in an hour or two.
