[Merged] Canada shipping status

Ugh, starting to get a little annoyed.

It's been an hour and a half away from me since early yesterday and yet it still isn't here over 24 hours later, and Fedex's site won't even update anymore.
 
So my fedex tracking page showed my ipad being on the truck for delivery at 8AM. Then at 10AM it updates to say future delivery requested. What the hell. My Estimated delivery is still may 28 by 11:58PM though. I really do not that it's being held by apple, and that it's just something small...
 
Bit of update for calgary

Mine was scheduled to come in on flight at 11:19 AM. However the plane has not yet shown as arrived yet. Fed ex does not know when it will land ( bad weather possibility)but if it cannot be delivered by 6PM or picked up by 7PM
then it would be for tomorrow. There are apparently at least two and possibly more scheduled flights bring "IPADS", apple products into calgary.

Those who already got theirs were likely on the early morning flight.

I was able to arrange for pickup if it can't be delivered by 6.

Mine is probably on that flight. My yahoo tracking just updated with Future Pickup/Delivery Requested at 11:19.

I think I'll call Fed Ex to try and pick it up tonight.
 
shipping status

Does the shipping status "Future pickup/delivery requested" mean that it will not be shipped today?

Watching the FexEd tracking our iPad orders showed they were in Mississauga yesterday. Then we got an email from Apple saying they wouldn't be delivered until Saturday and the FedEx site showed them back in Anchorage, AK.

Then about two hours ago the tracking was updated and showed it was on a truck, and the delivery guy was just here 10 minutes ago.
 
Fedex tracking shows the package came all the way to my town, but instead of being delivered, it now says "delivery exception: future delivery requested."

What the hell does that mean? I've been sitting at home holding the phone in my hand to answer the Fedex delivery if it shows up and I'm getting really nervous now! :(

That just happened to me as well. Changed from 'on truck for delivery' to exception. Spoke with FedEx and they said cause now they cannot meet the commitment time and it could be delivered up to midnight tonight. SORRY...thats not gonna work. My iPad has been sitting in the local facility since yesterday morning so it better be here soon. the CSR said she would call me back asap.

I have the exact same issue - called FedEx - they said it's stuck in Ontario and now won't arrive till Monday. You should call them too and see what they say.

Mine's at 11:59pm -- so it looks like you'll get yours a minute before me :)
..... and ya ... my office will be closed after 5pm so should i just sit out on the curb between 5pm and midnight? :)

OK, if you get any updates please tell me. Fedex tracking says delivery by 11:58 PM (midnight), but there is no way I would waste my day just waiting for it, most people already got theirs so I don't understand why the package would come to my area but not get delivered to me even though it's already the afternoon of May 28. :mad:
 
Hey everyone,
I got my iPad earlier. I also had the 'out for delivery' and then 'exception' and then shortly after "on truck for delivery'. It just means they can't make the 12pm estimate, so adjusted time to 11:58pm (sometime before midnight).

For those of you getting delivered to work, I heard they were going to try and get office deliveries by 5pm, but if you are worried try calling and asking If you could pick up from FedEx location. Explain the situation and they might agree.

Mine was scheduled for 12pm, then the exception was added, and I received it at 1:30pm in North York.

Good luck, but don't freak out by the exception :)

Hope everyone who got theirs is enjoying it.
 
So because I am out in Sooke, which is 25 or so minutes out of Victoria, FedEx contracts the deliveries out to a local delivery service. Just got off the phone with said service and they told me their driver is 20 mins from my branch......looks like I will be iPadding tonight after all!!!!!!!:D
 
Got the delivery exception too. Tried local Fedex office. The iPad was still on the delivery truck. If they could not manage to deliver, will try to pick up tomorrow.

The 'sad' thing is that at lunch I walked by the local MacStation and I saw people in there playing with the iPad demos and from what I could see people buying them right there on the spot. Not fair.
 
LOL I just called the Fairview Mall in Toronto.
Worried about the stock level. Want to exchange my 32GB 3G for the 64GB 3G. I asked her if she had any left, and she replied yes. I then asked her if she could put it on hold for 24 hours (my brother can only be there by tomorrow) and her reply was "we have a lot".
Guess Apple finally produced enough. I remember with the iPhone 3G launch, there were very few units on launch day.

Edit: I called back to ask about the iPad case and she said they have a lot of those too, so no need to come right away. Going to get my brother to pick me up an iPad case and a dock at the same time.

I haven't. Fedex has had it sitting an hour and a half from my house since early yesterday but they've still not managed to be able to get it here at a reasonable hour. Ugh.

That, and their horrid site can't even stay up to date. Kudos, Fedex. Kudos.
