However, I just got off the phone with Fedex and the lady said that the iPad (along with MANY others) has cleared customs and is sitting in Ontario at the moment. She said that any Alberta bound iPads will NOT be delivered until Monday. (wtf? :eek:) The reasoning behind this is "Apple will not allow the iPad to be picked up at a facility without it being attempted to deliver first."...

She said that there are ALOT of iPads that showed up and because of that they are behind. I cannot speak about other provinces, but according to her Alberta iPads are a no go until Monday... This is BRUTAL! I go back to work on Monday and will miss the delivery.

Sooooo now what?!

Weird... My ipad arrived at YYC about 3 hours ago and it's just waiting to be picked up by a truck so hopefually I'll have it by this afternoon.
 
If it's already here, it'll get sent out for delivery. Mine's been here since 6:17 but I'm guessing the "on vehicle for delivery" part hasn't updated yet.

On another bright note, the SIM card UPS said wouldn't get here until Monday has been sent out for delivery today =D

Not mine. I got the delay email from Apple last night.

FedEx tracker And Yahoo small business tracker don't even give me an estimated delivery date anymore. Originally, FedEx posted by 10:30AM today.

Yahoo tracker now says released for delivery in Mississauga since 7:56AM
 
Just got mine in Ottawa. Typing on it as we speak. I can't believe how useable this keyboard is. I've had it for 10 minutes and I'm already hooked.

Hope you all get yours soon!

Greater Toronto area (Markham) - I've got mine at around 10:30am and I also received the same dreaded email last night. I guess Fedex has been overloaded with the iPad orders or the traffic for the tracking system is a bit on the high side and the updates have been many hours behind.

This morning at 8am, the Fedex status showed the iPad was in Memphis and at 11:30am, it showed "On FedEx vehicle for delivery. And now it says "Delivered but the time is 7:28:00AM"!

What the heck? Does that just mean the vehicle is delayed for some reason?

Hopefully I'm just being paranoid and the FedEx truck gets here any second.

Guys....don't kill yourself looking at the tracking stats. They are never accurate. Just go preoccupy yourself with something else. If your iPad doesn't show up by 6pm, then start playing the tracking game.

It will come later, the same thing happened to me this morning so i called fedex and complaining. Got a call back a little while later personally guaranteeing that it would be delivered that afternoon

Outside Fredericton city limits by 10KMS.... not far at all...

Im trying to figure out if I can go poick it up.




Just got off the phone with the local depot, and I can pick it up after 5.. kinda sucks for me cause I work at 5... so needless to say, Im gonna be a bit late. ROFL!
 
I am in the GTA and got one of those Apple emails last night saying it will be delivered Saturday not Friday. FedEX said it will definitely be delivered this afternoon 30min ago (that is was on a delivery truck). Just got a Delivery Exception notice. Not being delivered until tomorrow.

Glad I went to Bestbuy this morning.
 
Mine finally arrived in Toronto! Got it at 1:30pm after the time was revised.
Won't gt it for 2 more weeks, but it was still fun tracking it from halfway across the world.
Going to get my brother to swap it for a 64GB 3G from 32GB.
I've played around with it a few times here in Dubai where Wi-Fis are sold at a $250USD premium and 3G at $400USD premium in retail stores :O
I love what I can see and can't wait to add my own apps!

I just got one at futureshop in Fred, Terra also has stock leaft
 
Just got mine. After that scary Apple Saturday Delivery email last night, the FEDEX tracking double ups and a Delivery Exception Notice.
