Is it worth it to update to G3 on TMobile

From what I'm reading on this thread, TMobile G3 is different from ATT's.

I've been working on getting a G3 to work, while using a G2. Is the G3 worth working on when I use T-Mobile, or should I just get it working again and resell it?

Guys i have a question.. im getting an unlocked (sim adapter) jailbroken 3g iphone.. i want to unjailbreak it and i've found out how to do this through itunes.. but then i think i'll have to buy the latest software to install it? what about the activation, how will i go through that using my tmobile card? thanks for your help

Pick your calling plan (any) and then for data there is a $24.99 plan w/ unlimited data and (I think) 300 text messages. You can probably also get that same data plan with no text or unlimited text @ $19.99 or $34.99.

Need Help - T-mobile user

I know this has proably been answered but tired of reading. A few questions.

I wanna buy an iphone.

On t-mobile have blackberry cure 8320 with unlimited data plan and the unlimited txt msg. Get all my email and can surf the web. Pretty much whatever i wanna do i can.

Can i just go to apple store and buy iphone. if so do i have to unlock it first before i put sim card in.?? Just alittle confused from all the reading if it is really worth all the trouble. Do all the apps work?


I use a mac.

No, you cant. They wont sell you one unless you activate it with AT&T.

When you unlock it, everything will and it will work with T-Mobile. And when you unlock it, do it WITHOUT the sim card in it. Afterwords put it in.
 
i just unlocked my iphone for t-mobile. How do i add a data plan to it, so that i can surf the web using my t-mobile data. Can i add it online? or do i have to do it by phone? also if they ask me what phone im using what do i say.

Call customer service. Also tell them the truth, that you are using an unlocked iPhone. They have no policies regarding the iPhone, so it doesn't really matter. :)

They wont care if you have an iphone. They did try to tell me though that i needed the $19.99 plan when i already had the $6.00 ( those were the rates at the time and they were going to change them soon) .

The $6.00 plan works fine. Now the cheapest is $9.99 and that will work fine but you are limited to how many MB you can use. I think it is 50 per month and dont know how much you might use.

Anyways, yes, you can add it online if you want.

So i talked to t mobile and they do support the iphone. asked what all worked and apps was the only thing they werent sure on. Do any of you that have it unlocked can tell me if you have any problems with the apps, email or anything.

Next question is where is the best place to get one.

Any place i can walk in to buy one?

Appreciate all the help.
 
Just Wait until June 3rd when T-mobile announces the new version of web to go unlimited for $9.99. It's basically almost the same thing as the current web2go but without 200 text messages.
 
Ok so ive been a long time blackberry user but i gave in and bought a 16 Gig iPhone 2G last night. Ive been using the blackberry 8900 with internet on the EDGE network for the past 4 months. Tmobile however hasnt been charging me, i had a free month of internet as a promotion and they never took it off so my GPS and everything has been working using the epc.tmobile.com APN. However, i put my SIM into the unlocked/jailbroken iPhone and i get the uppercase blue E for EDGE but i am unable to access anything related to the data usage. APN settings for the iphone are epc.tmobile.com just like from the blackberry. I poped the SIM out and back into the blackberry and the internet was still functional so i dont know what the issue is with the iPhone and the APN settings? I'd really like to continue using the internet at no cost... Thanks for the help

Only thing i can think of is if you are using a username and password and you should leave those blank in the network setting on the iphone. If they are blank, then i dont know why it isnt working because that is what im using on mine and it works fine.

Nope. You could switch to FlexPay, which is essentially the same as their contract plans, but without a contract.

Cost-wise it'll be a bit pricier, but it might be worth it in the long run.
 
If I get that new 9.99 unlimited web, can i pop in my sim card on in unlocked iphone and be set to use internet whereever?
 
iphone on tmobile using blackberry plan

i am curious, is it possible to have just a blackberry data plan and use it to get data on the iphone?

a lot of my friends, that work in t-mobile, tell me that it will only work on a blackberry, i am curious if anyone has ever thought of that or even tried it.
 
For anyone that has been hesitant on getting their iphone 3G on t-mobile prepaid, ask me any question. I recently cancelled my AT&T account and now have it under a prepaid plan that gives me unlimited txt and web for about $30 a month ($1 a day basis) under t-mobile. If anyone wants info just PM me. Everything works btw, Internet works like a charm and I txt all I want.
