Thanks for getting back to me, but it is still giving me a location error. I guess I will email MLB.
Same here. I just shot MLB an email about this.

I am also in the UK and am having the same problem. I emailed MLB and got the following response:
Thank you for the note. We are planning to release an update to At Bat 2009 early next week that will address an issue that is preventing some postal codes from resolving properly in the application and as a result denying access to the live video feed. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Here's hoping that sorts it!
Does the live streaming only work for people living in the USA? (subject, obviously to local blackouts).
I live in the UK, and cannot get much further away from any blackout area, but I don't seem to be able to watch any live video, only the highlight clips.
If I try and watch a live feed, it simply says that the broadcasters required blackout checks cannot be performed.
Would love to have this superb new feature, but is anyone else in the UK (or Europe) having the same problem, and if so, is there a fix?
Thanks.
I have a question about this app... do i have to purchase the monthly subscription like you do to watch games on the computer. Or can i just buy the app for 10 dollars and then watch the games live without any more payments?
Anyone else unable to watch the Mets-Rays game right now? For me, it works normally until it opens up the video feed, which is completely black with no audio. Same issue over both wi-fi and 3G.
Yeah I couldn't get it to work either. using iPod touch, 3.0 update, latest MLB At Bat software, and it just sticks at Checking Location
I think all iPod touch users are having this problem. Am I right?
wrong i can watch games right now watchin some of the mets but im having problems with geting the Yankees game to stream it just brings me to the mets game..
whats the point of having live games when u cant even watch ur hometeam. the point of the iphone was portability and it beeing compact. the only time someone would watch it live from their iphone is if they werent near a tv. The teams and tv stations wouldnt lost any money. there should be no blackout because u live near ur favorite team unless the tv stations are blackout too.

Apparently the service is not returning the information that the At Bat Application requires to complete the blackout check and as a result it continues to check. I suggest if it takes more than a one minute, exit out of the application and try again. We are exploring the cause and we plan to release an update to the application in the App store later this week. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Is anyone else having issues with your phone getting extremely warm to the touch while streaming a live game? I had the game streaming for about a half hour earlier today and when I picked up my phone it was incredibly hot. I have a new 3G-s and I seem to be getting terrible battery life on it also, so I'm trying to figure out whether the heat is related to a defective battery or a normal side-effect of this app....Any input is greatly appreciated!
