MMS on ATT by end of July

When will AT&T be supporting MMS?!

It is now September 1st, more than a full month after the end of July, and still NO MMS! I have been waiting patiently all summer long. Apple said in their last media event that AT&T would be supporting MMS by the end of the summer. That gives them 20 more days. Does anyone know anything about when AT&T will be supporting MMS on the iPhone? Thanks!
 
i read a rumor of sept 6. or 8th. att claims they are ready and are just waiting on an update from apple

I got the iPhone 3G the day it came out. I was third in line at my local AT&T store and was the first one out the door with my new iPhone. I have to say I was not impressed whatsoever with the AT&T employees. The lady that was helping me seemed clueless on how to activate the phone. This was 8 in the morning so it was before all the network overload issues came about. I had to almost walk her through the activation process. You would think AT&T would train their employees on new products and the activation of them, especially the iPhone since it was expected to have a huge launch day.
 
On a similar note, does anyone think we will see official iPhone tethering (for a fee) from AT&T this calendar year?
 
ATT is pathetic

is it really that hard? how in the hell can they manage mms for every other freaking phone but this one

i wouldnt be mad except for the fact im PAYING for a text plan that INCLUDES mms
 
My best guess is AT&T has been ready to launch the MMS carrier update for a few weeks. Since AT&T has claimed all along that they were waiting on Apple, AT&T is waiting until after the Sept 9th media event to release the update. This way AT&T can say: "Yep, we told you so, we were waiting on Apple."

It's pretty much given we'll get 3.1 on Sept 9th or shortly thereafter.
 
MMS will be announced on September 9th, and come out that Friday along with 3.1 (even though all that is needed is a carrier file). How do I know this is true? I don't. But it's anyone's guess, right? :rolleyes:

Exactly, while everyone else on AT&T paying 20 bucks a month gets unlimited text and MMS messages, we're just getting texts, what a ripoff, we should all be refunded half of that.

Still no word on tethering, no word on MMS, AT&T has got to be one of the most incompetent companies in existence. Is there another carrier in all the other nations the iphone is sold that doesn't have both already?

I assume that we ARE waiting on Apple. Eventhough all we need is the carrier file, im thinking that Apple is telling Att to hold off until 3.1 Most iPhone users might now even bother updating just a carrier file let alone know what the heck one is. Apple will prob send out a text to update and then include the carrier file.

This is just my opinion and if you dont like it well........heres some bunnies
