Is Handoff working for you?

I found that if I didn't disable SIP, the kext files didn't get moved like they should. The toggle option to turn off SIP has been removed. I used the csrutil disable command.

Seems to be consistent at least. Now since it works fine on PB6 without the mod, how do we fix it?

I don't think I am even getting as far as you guys. I am receiving this message and I'm unable to go on any further.

Am I being stupid and missing a step?

2.0.1 however in several windows 2.0.0 is printed for some reason - I assume they just haven't been changed?
That is possible. I haven't looked closely (recently) at each window of the app in use.

It has been my experience (with El Capitan beta use) that the CAT uninstall program doesn't always go smoothly. As such, I often use "AppCleaner" to remove CAT, before reinstalling. If you have been using the CAT program uninstall option, try a different method of removing CAT and see how it works for you on subsequent install. Hopefully, you will get farther than you have been thus far.

After a bit of play I have made no progress. I've got to a point where I have lost access to the WiFi hardware so I've just called it quits and restored my original kexts.

Not sure what else to try really.

And you're using the CAX btle module? Maybe double check the connection?

I am using said module which has previously worked very well. I'm guessing if the connection is not perfect I would lose access to Bluetooth and WiFi generally or is that not the case?

Is the CAT working well for you?

It works flawlessly. Only issue I have is handoff doesn't work. AirDrop and continuity work well but handoff just doesn't work.
