Tried to uninstall CAT 2.1 beta via the program itself, and it wouldn't work. Tried several times. Ended up deleting the app via "app cleaner." Booted to Command + R, turned off SIP, downloaded CAT again and installed. This time, I did not receive any errors. Airdrop and Continuity work. Even though Handoff is checked in general preferences, it isn't working.

Same thing for me... No handoff working. Even with PB1 and PB2 that i restored with Time Machine when it works well. I think the problem comes from iCloud.

Hi,

Just installed 10.11 Beta 6.

In previous betas, as long as I disabled SIP (rootless), then everything worked fine.

In beta 6 however, CAT runs without error, but after a reboot OS X reports no WiFi hardware available.

This is on a Mid-2010 Macbook Pro 15" with an upgraded Broadcom BT/Wifi board.

Did you try signing out of iCloud then signing back in on your Mac? Handoff starts working for me as soon as I do that
Yes, I tried that.

Handoff works between the iPhone and the iPad.

Only thing working between the iPhone and the MBP is Airdrop and Continuity. Before PB 2, it was all working.

Hmm, seems like Handoff is just being buggy. It was working fine for me on PB 2/3 and it was working for a bit on PB 4, but it just stopped working all of a sudden.

Yes with PB4 Handoff still doesn't work. Maybe Apple is filtering unauthorized Mac with iCloud ?

I will now mainly support the future development of CAT on El Capitan since dokterdok is not able to anymore.
I will look into getting dongles to work on El Capitan again and will also do some major rework regarding the SIP/Rootless stuff in the next few days.
I still need some beta testers though, so please PM me if you are confident in using the terminal, recovery tools and got some basic understanding of replacing kexts AND own a bluetooth dongle that previously worked on Yosemite!

I would love to test a beta for you however I am not confident in jeopardising my system due to work commitments (I say as I run El Cap beta haha).

Once you get it to the point that it won't be catastrophic if something goes wrong (I don't mind bugs in bluetooth, WiFi, sound/video) then I would be happy to test some software for you.

Hope this helps and kudos to you for taking the challenge on!

Glad to hear that, sysfloat. Hopefully, the Handoff problems (lack thereof) can be ironed out.

Thanks for continuing development, I'm upgrading the BT card in my MBP 2011, so I'm hoping I can use this in future once El Capitan is available.

Mighty Mouse doesn't works well with MBA mid2011 after patch with CAT. It works well when wi-fi is off only...
I have unistalled CAT - all works well. Install it again - the problem come back.

With Apple removing the ability to turn off SIP via the Command + R Utility with the last update, I don't see Handoff being a usable option anymore. Unless something changes, looks like we may be stuck with Airdrop, text forwarding and phone calls.

Sysfloat, does this appear to be the case? BTW, i'm not qualified to be a beta tester for you but I definitely will donate, as I did for the first CAT.

Actually you can still disable SIP,
In recovery mode, use terminal:
csrutil disable
And reboot, then check in terminal:
csrutil status
Then you should see that SIP is disabled.

But I cannot get Handoff working either, although the option is checked. Seems like some problem with the beta.

Installed the latest El Capitan Public Beta and ACT was not activated. Did a clean install of ACT. Had to turn off SIP to do that. Everything in "About this Mac" looks as it should with Airdrop, phone calls, and text forwarding working. I have been unsuccessful in getting Handoff to work.

When upgrading to a new beta, do i need to do anything other than uninstall CAT, install update, and then reinstall CAT? Last time I had to manually add the Kext files. Maybe that was just PB1?
