For what it's worth, I'm on the "old look" still and the option that used to be in the header area to use the new look is no longer there. Seems like they may have removed the toggle, locking users into whichever view they were in...
I have the same: Old look with 16.58 (22010904) and no toggle.

It seems common that if you are on 22010904 the toggle is removed by default. you can add the toggle back as is shown in posts 348 and 349 or you can remove Outlook, delete your profile and reinstall 16.57 (22010502) from the Current Channel Preview.

I've updated to the Outlook beta, and re-enabled spotlight indexing. Outlook seems to be working properly again. I haven't had a hang since so far.
Had one spotlight hang with Outlook beta today (typed Command-Shift-O to view only unread messages).

Ooops ... Just have seen that my AutoUpdater was still set to "Preview".
That's the reason why it installed today.

Seems there's a catastrophic memory leak... Sometimes after I do a search in 16.58, the fans go crazy and I find the thread "Outlook Web Content" uses almost 100 GB of memory, causes ~30GB of swap to be written, makes the whole computer painfully slow as a result... Mac OS is heroic at managing memory and restarting Outlook clears it out, but this isn't normal...

Anyone else seeing this?

As the post above mine says, 16.57 is now released.
I went to the 16.58 Beta a week ago to fix the search issue but want to go back to "current channel" releases. Does anyone know how those updates are handled if I go back to current channel assuming the new current channel is still at 16.57?

Hello guys,
Yesterday I updated my MBP to Monterey 12.1 and it was a terrible idea. Now my Outlook 365 search function is not working and it affected my performance at work. Now I need to open Outlook in Chrome in order to search emails.

I tried to (without success):

-Delete Outlook app (moved to trash) and reinstall it
-Update to preview-release version 16.56
-I added the path /Users/UserName/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/Outlook to Privacy tab in Spotlight and then I deleted the entry in order to rebuild index.

-Exeucted the terminal command:
mdimport -r /Applications/Microsoft\ Outlook.app/Contents/Library/Spotlight/Microsoft\ Outlook\ Spotlight\ Importer.mdimporter

It started rebuilding the Index and some emails started appearing in search results but hours later it stopped working. Any keyword yield zero results.

It's quite frustrating. I don't know if changing the name of Outlook profile or recreating this will fix this issue. I've four accounts (three of O365 and one Gmail) and search doesn't work in any of them.

Please help. I don't know if reverting to 12.0.1 will fix this.
I just got the same issue after the upgrade. Only way around it is to switch to "New" outlook. Thanks

FYI, I just updated from previous general release version to 16.57 (22011101). Both the toggle classic/new toggle and search function are now working correctly in classic mode. 14" MBP M1Pro running 12.1.
I was running under "new" look mode for a few weeks there things shaking out and it was driving me crazy. Can't stand the new look UI/UX. So happy to be back to working efficiently in classic mode!

16.58 makes changes to the database structure. I believe your only path is to remove Outlook, delete your Profile, delete the profile info from Trash and then reinstall Outlook 16.57 (22011101) and then rebuild the profile.

I am running outlook classic 16.58 beta and would also like to move back to the production 16.57. Someone suggested that there is a toggle that would get you back to classic and build 16.57, however, I am running classic and I am at 16.58. There is no other button to take you back. When I run "check for updates" it tells me I am running the current version. Is there a way to go back to 16.57 or do I just have to wait for the next current version to be released where the version number will hopefully be 16.58 or greater?
