Guess what I picked up today? I got me a new Moto Pure 32GB with the dark ebony wood back.
Gotta say I am really impressed with the MXP. The fit and finish and build quality is right there with Apple and Samsung.
The wood back just looks so very nice. The UI overall responsiveness is very smooth and fast.
Will have more time this weekend to test the camera and battery.
Loving the MXP so far one of the nicest handsets I have had so far.

What do you mean "accidentally"? It ships with Android OS, v5.1.1 (Lollipop), correct?
They're doing the soak test for Marshmallow now, but some people who aren't signed up for the soak test started receiving the update.

I am impressed with the camera on the Moto X Pure so far. These were taken at my son's birthday party yesterday. Tapatalk does compress the photos. Non editing just point and shoot

Yeah they definitely made massive improvements this year with the camera in the X. Both in the lens and software processing. Just wish they made the software interface a little more friendly and intuitive.

Wanted to add on here from having this phone for about a month, it does the three things I want it to do extraordinarily well. Phone handset, email, and text messaging. It's also a great media consumption device. I do a lot of work in network closets or processing huge computer inventories, so being able to drop the phone on a table and play music while I work is something I haven't really been able to do since my Galaxy Note 2. Speakers are really nice on this thing. Its right up there with my favorite phones.

Marshmallow is finally rolling out, but so far it's only for people with Verizon, Sprint, and U.S. Cellular ie: CDMA carriers. I'm assuming the hold up with T-mobile is the whole Band 12 issue. Don't know about AT&T.

Motorola will need to get a finger print scanner on the 2016 MX. Oh, and truly fix the camera experience.

Did everybody get their Marshmallow update yet?

I know as of yesterday, the Moto G 2015 was the latest to get it. I guess all that's left in their line up are the Droids, Moto G 2nd Gen, and whatever they're doing with the Moto E LTE.

I received my Marshmallow update for my Moto X 2014 and Moto X Play. My Moto G 2015 still have not received update yet.

CM 13 is available for Moto G 2014. If you want Marshmallow for Moto G 2014, you can flash CM.

I still haven't got marshmallow, his is memory managment on marshmallow as lollipop is quite high compared to my previous moto devices, the moto x 2014 (lollipop), nexus 6 (lollipop).

Did you folks have to clear the cache partition on the Moto X Pure for the Marshmallow update? Seems some folks had performance issues and needed to do so.
