Hard to believe they still haven't made it available as of yet. I'm making a USB installer as we speak, based on the python script download.

I wonder if they have found some issues they're trying to correct before posting it.
Happened before, will happen again…

What's seems strange, almost no one reported bugs on 10.13.6, only read about missing 60Hz on RX580 and some trouble with BootCamp on iMac Pro. So what's keeping Apple?

Actually even though Apple still is listing the OS as 10.13.5 in the App Store, it is not. I still had the "real" 10.13.5 installer and I just downloaded the current 10.13.5 installer from the App Store (so I could update my FW). The "Get Info" boxes clearly indicate the installer version of the later download. And, It's 10.13.6.

So it's really there, but Apple apparently has their heads up their behind.

if you downloaded 10.13.6 did you install it ? More importantly. . was a bootrom update included ?

if so .. what BootROM version ?

For my part...

I downloaded it...

I installed it...

BootRom firmware was included...

BootRom firmware Version is MP51.0089.B00

Also the info report from flowrider’s screen shots are exactly as mine.

I also ran the md5 check against this file and the one from the 10.3.6 seed and it’s the same hash.

It's the same.

Edit: rechecked again, this time all DMGs on both SharedSupport folders.

No, I did not install it. I had already installed 10.13.6 with the Combo updater on the day 10.13.6 was released. I only used the full installer for the firmware or Boot ROM. And yes, it is now MP51.0089.B00

The firmware (Boot ROM) is only updated with the full installer.

Just to wrap this thread up

the bug report I submitted has finally been closed :)

Apple sent me one last message mentioning how they have an on going program to update the microcode with every OS release I dont know if this means a New BootROM every-time or if there just updating OS Xs microcode stuff. I guess we will have to wait and see, it would be fun if the MacPro5,1 is still getting BootROM updates in 2019 as by then my MacPro4,1/5,1 will be 10 years old and you try and name a 9 to 10 year old PC that is still getting BIOS/Firmware updates :p

they also said "Please thank the customer for identifying a serious failure in our build system and test systems," which pleases me no end :D (im a bit reluctant to post the entire message they sent as im not sure if its under any sort of confidentiality agreements or whatnot?...)

but the wording they used in the second part of the message seems a bit weird, I think it was just meant to be an internal message rather then something I was supposed to see...

anyways im happy to see that Apple does listen their bug reports and is willing to resolve issues even on almost 10 year old macs :)
