I've updated to 10.13.6 with the Combo Updater and the Nvidia Web Driver, but as has been said, the full installer is STILL not in the App Store. So, haven't updated the FW yet.

But, the full installer for 10.13.5 is still there?

Only the 22,7MB parcial version. Apple already removed InstallESDdmg.pkg for 10.13.5 from the catalog.

10.13-10.13-10.12…= 10.13 normal updates catalog.
10.13seed-10.13-10.12…= 10.13 Developer catalog.
10.13beta-10.13-10.12…= 10.13 Public Beta catalog

Installmacos.py points to 10.13seed.

What’s puzzle me is that Apple already removed the 10.13.5 InstallESDdmg.pkg from all catalogs. So, you can’t download full installer 10.13.5 no more.

So using the python script, I selected Option 2 which says 10.13.6.

Is this the normal Apple Update final version? When I now click about my Mac, there is no build number listed.
Just 10.13.6

I think so, but since it came from the 10.13seed catalog and Apple change things even on the normal updates one, we can’t be certain until comparing with Mac App Store release.

Apple has a own way to do things, sometimes it’s not logical.

I can also see the build number

When you use installinstallmacos.py, you get the release version, 17G65.

Click on the version number to see the build.

Even my 2nd Mac Pro shows it when I click on El Capitan's version
I know that, but Apple usually shows the build number, without needing to click, if you're using a beta version.

The whole question was about 10.13seed FullInstaller being the final one or another beta, hence the build number.

So, is your install 17G65, or not?

To clarify, Betas are displaying the build number in 'About this Mac' permanently. Final releases don't, you have to click on the version number.

According to info.plist it's build 17G61.

On the Info.plist you have the build number and a lot of other numbers of the macOS install used to compile/create the final release. It's not useful to identify the release, you have to open the InstallESD.dmg and check.

Thanks for that. My MAS store now says 17G65 as well.

But now I still wonder about the installer I downloaded since it's info.plist says 17G61

I also have my macOS Downloading tool, which achieves the same result.
Tried 2.6.2 and whilst it downloaded everything (I think) it barfed trying to assemble. Neagle's .py script worked, though.

Possibly things changed mid-download that threw it off ... it's been an in-demand download today. Two slow Apple downloads, but would you like me to try the Tool again and report back?

I really didn't learn anything from looking at the installinstallmacos.py download. I found nothing with a reference to the build number, but I really didn't know where to look. It's probably there somewhere.

I went ahead and flashed the firmware from that installer however, so hopefully when the official full download installer comes out, it will be the same. Perhaps when that happens, someone here could check to see if it has the same CRC hash.

That 17G61 is the build of the operating system running on the computer that built the installer at Apple.

Not the full installer, just the Combo Updater. This does not include the firmware update.

Hard to believe they still haven't made it available as of yet. I'm making a USB installer as we speak, based on the python script download.

I wonder if they have found some issues they're trying to correct before posting it.
