How does it run for just general text chat? I do not use it for video calling at my work

Amazing! That is what I predominantly use Teams for at work and it has been wonderful. Everything loads so much quicker; where as before changing chats, Teams, or loading Shifts there was a definite lag. I use Teams as my main phone line and attend meetings (both work fine, since I normally do not enable my camera).

Can we switch between two accounts the same way we can with the iOS version?

You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.5.00.13606-E. It was last updated on 09/05/2022.

Looks good camera and screen sharing working as intended, also the app seems to be consuming less memory than expected.

Starting to look like they got a Beta candidate coming up

This is very very promising, I'm tempted to test it out to be honest, maybe they'll announce this kind of "candidate" in a "beta program" to enroll such as Logi Options+ did, it will be nice.

According to their "official" roadmap, no stable version should arrive till late this year right? Though that, since a lot of ppl is already testing it, rollout can be anticipated, i'd love to see an official AS version after summer.

So far the app is working fine for my usage. And for calls I've tested mic, face cam, and screen sharing which has the computer sound enabled. Everything so far works. So I'm moving to the AS build once again!! . It's just so much better than the Intel one lol. It's using so much less ram and it's so much more snappier than the Intel one.

I think it makes sense why, because they got Webview coming out on the Mac and Linux later this fall

Hey folks
Download -> https://statics.teams.cdn.office.net/production-osx/1.5.00.13703/Teams_osx.pkg

this version of Teams v1.5.00.13703 has fixed the camera issue and the desktop screen-share colors which means they can see the colors accurately through the camera. The current experimental build does not have webcam call and screen sharing issues. 🥳 I recommend you all install the latest version of the experimental build which is v1.5.00.13703.

Are all intel processes completely gone?

One thing that doesn’t work right is noise cancellation. If you are on a call and typing on your m1 max built in laptop without mute on, it is extremely audible.

All of the other apps like zoom or whatever do a good job on removing that sound, but the current arm beta of teams just doesn’t. Probably a feature they will add back eventually, but just be aware you MUST mute if you are going to type. Kind of frustrating and very easy to forget.

If you do forget, you will inevitably get a few “hey are you typing or chopping wood? I can’t tell which” chat messages. :)

Yeh it's fine I think. For now? . Does the Mac's built in voice isolation works? I think on some apps when the mic is active you can enable it on Control Center

No, but the Core Audio Driver only uses 3.8MB per Activity Monitor

No, and it doesn't work on the current production Intel build either

Darn. I currently do not have any intel processes on any of my apps and am trying to keep it that way. Guess I will keep waiting

Teams is one example of Microsoft having a winning colaboration platform and clearly wanting to continue to dominating with Windows.

Another productivity one is Microsoft Project - completely unavailable on Mac.
