Ok so I get it, launch day for push... there's bound to be some issues. But I don't feel like they're fixed yet. I'm still getting disconnected, stupid wheel of death...

So then I do log off, sign onto my computer and then get push notifications from gmail chat on the iphone. Turn beejive on and no chats... signed off, but you still wanna bug me anyway with a random non existing notification.

What gives?

Is AIM having issues? I'll pay 2.99 just to log on AIM and stay connected if that's what it does. I don't care about UI right now as long as I'm connected and not missing important messages.

Is an IM that important to me? Yes, when I'm working with our NYC department and I'm in CA. It's kinda crucial on the go.

I'm not too sure it's just Beejive. My AIM app wasn't logging into AIM, either.

I've had great success with the app, and have had numerous accounts logged in at once. So far so good from my end, though I'll report on any issues that I have.

i haven't had many problems after the first road block. at first push didn't work but it's works great for me now. and i've only gotten kicked off of AIM once and it didn't take but 2 seconds to log back on. it's working great for me.

Same here.

I know yesterday there were issues with AIM/ICQ because they were going through maintenance or something, an error popped up when I tried reconnecting.

AIM (free edition) worked well, but 5 minutes later Beejive was up and running again.

Don't give up on it just yet !

Right now, I wish I could get my money back. But I think it's best just to have patience right now because the app just came out. I'm sure they are working on fixing the bugs and at somepoint in the near future, the app will be worth it.

It's almost like I liked the app before Push haha. I mean, at least it did what it said it did.

But yea, I'm sure it will resolve it's issues. I'm still getting gmail notifications while I'm signed off and when I open the app there aren't any chats lol.

Push is brand new. Like 3.0 has its issues, so will apps using push. It will take a few versions to get it right, beejive is a dev of their word... Least you dont have mobilechat.

I was not getting any push notifications on my phone until I turned adium off on my computer.

I set up priorities in gtalk, for example, but still no dice. Have not turned it back on yet on my mac to play with it any more yet.

Bought BeeJive on the 1st day of push. Kept getting disconnected. Bought AIM, and have been connected perfectly ever since. I'm still trying to figure out why I bought BeeJive.

does anybody experience a faster battery drainwhen using push notifications from beejive ?
my battery drained 30% down during 8 hours of sleep with push notifications on.

if you watched the keynote for the 3.0 roadmap you would have known that :) they said it does drain some batter life

Of course.

Why would you not expect battery power to be used?

But further, why is your phone on and not plugged in while you sleep?

My phone is either off or plugged in when I sleep.

Get the aim free version with push. It works awesome.

I'm having the wheel of death troubles with beejive also. The aim push has not failed me yet.

No you got problems. My phone pushes from aim and beejive all day, heavy usage... still have half battery left after 10 hours.

Ive been logged into beejive for 11 hours straight now. Working well, and still pushing instantly!

Have you tried working with their support?

They are very responsive to me via email.

i beg to differ.
I have been trying to get support on an issue since october and they still havent given me an answer. I regularly visit the beejive forums and even expressed my concern there.

Ever since I've gotten it my battery drains faster without being logged in, or without the program running.

Well i didn't plug the phone to test if it would drain the battery more just by having push on with no use. And it did drain quite a bit more.
I know apple said during the keynote the push would drain the battery by a bit, but i wasn't expecting this much.
I try callibrate my battery see if things get better.

i've had it since they launched it and it's been fantastic for me. it's been completely hit or miss for me since PUSH came out for me but i figure they'll get it sorted out soon with all the PUSH chaos.

in terms of battery life. it's the same for me. i've always had PUSH e-mail so now that i have BeeJive, AP, and Zillow using PUSH, the battery is still the same pre 3.0.

if you've never had PUSH on before. you will defiantly see a difference with your battery life with PUSH on.

FYI this is stickied on their website.
3.0 ISSUES - READ FIRST PLEASE

Postby jim » Tue Jun 23, 2009 7:28 am
Hi all, we experienced a few issues with the 3.0 release last night and this morning, here is an update:

Connection Issues
Most connection issues have be resolved. There was an unrelated issue with Yahoo login (due to some server issues they made) so we needed to patch our servers at the same time everyone was trying to get on the 3.0 release... bad timing. Good news is the servers are patched and you should be able to login (and stay logged in) from here on out.

App Crashing
We have a fix for this defect already and plan to submit the fix to Apple this week. For a temporary fix, log out of BeejiveIM and turn your iPhone / iPod Touch off and back on.

Logging out after 20 minutes
If you are getting logged out after ~20 minutes (and you don't want to) be sure to update your session time out setting. Close BeejiveIM, and then go to Settings -> Beejive, and scroll down to the Network an Push section to change this value.

Push Notifications
It seems that Apple is still working out the kinks... push was working great for me the past 2 weeks and now I get them intermittently, so I would council patience :)

We apologize for any inconvenience these problems have caused!! We appreciate your business and thank you all for choosing BeejiveIM.

Note: If you are still unable to connect to Yahoo, log off of all accounts and log back in.
This should resolve the issue. - joe
