Sometimes Beejive has a hard time connecting to my AIM account, but my Facebook account has been terrible on Beejive lately. It seems it won't stay logged in for more than 10 minutes and it always seems to be unavailable. Don't know if that's a Beejive bug or if it's FB's fault.

They have taken their Facebook server down because it was causing bandwidth issues and the constant spinning wheel.
I would suggest anyone using Beejive to check their forum for info when you have issues:

Facebook appears to be back online and is working well for me.
Anyone else noticed than when logging into desktop fb after having finished some chats in beejive, that these are now open windows within fb chat and indicate a total unread message count equal to the amount of incoming messages per chat within beejive?
Not terribly annoying, just a bit tedious having to manually close all these within desktop fb. Not sure of there is a way of avoiding this?

Can you log onto Facebook on Beejive and Desktop at the same time, like Google Talk and AIM? I stopped using FB on Beejive because it kept knocking me out of FB on the computer.
So I won't be using beejive till their update gets released and in the meantime have been using aim and have absolutely no issues... a shame since I really don't like the UI in aim...
I'm having the same problems as the OP. Constant wheel of death, Push notifications are flakey, and I'm CONSTANTLY being logged out of every service. Maybe my expectations were too high, but the 3.0 update for this app just seems terrible.
I don't think we should blame Beejive for this. My AIM on iChat is messing up, and I've had several friends on PC's IM me today telling me their AIM is messed up. I don't think this is all, or maybe not at all, the fault of Beejive.
I would recommend sticking with it, Beejive was incredible solid before push, and it looks like the app hit a second wave of growing pains on the release of push. Most of the problems that I was having are gone now, though, and it looks like they've been working on everything behind the scenes, soo...
Also, why the hell would push notifications have any drain on battery whatsoever? Apple said they were working with carriers on this solution, and we already have a direct connection for SMS and phone calls, so why would we require another one for push notifications?

No, its not. AIM has been problematic, even for the AIM apps. You were just lucky.
beejive has been a little rocky since 3.0 but to say your love for it is dwindling is crazy. I've been using this since the beginning basically for iphone and this is the first issue.
now mobilechat I can see. The jailbreak version was great then the official release just sucked.
For an app that's always been solid and is now having a little situation that they probably already fixed in pending update. Give a break.

This article refers to a 40 minute downtime. I've have had nothing be a great experience with the official AIM app, I've never been disconnected, it's keeping me online the 24 hours it promises and I've been getting push notifications.
I do own BeeJive and they obviously weren't prepared. If you are having problems with AIM on BeeJive, it's BeeJive, not AIM.

1. Go to Google.com
2. Type AIM down in search bar.
3. Click Search
4. Click "Show options"
5. Click "Past 24 hours"
6. Stop failing

I will take the word of AIM themselves over someone on a message board thank you.
And for the record, my BeeJive has been flawless for the past two days, but I don't use AIM. I use Yahoo and Google.
listen, beejive sucks not just because of aim here is what happened to me yesterday
i have gtalk,aim, and msn that i use with beejive. when the update first came out i logged in and tried push and it was great. then i started getting messeges saying you have been signed out of whatever sevice it was so i would fire it up ans sign back in.
then after i got one a few hours later i would try to sign in again and get null errors or timeout errors or pin mismatch errors. i tried force quiting restartred phone logging out all accounts and nothing worked
every time i try to send a pic in beejive it fails
i have one contact in aim that i have to delete again and again even though it says PERMINATLY DELETE
i got a badge that shows i have 1 messege even though i dont have a messege and i deleted the app and re-installed and even turned badges off but it still says i have a message
so now i dont know what to use that has push and will work with aim,msn, and gtalk cuz beejive just stinks!!!!!!

AIM app just the one brief disconnect yesterday during the MJ outage. Beejive, constant disconnects, even still this morning after the brief 'official' AIM outage yesterday. This is a Beejive issue.
