LOL.

The ONLY issue I have is that when I log in, it does not log me out of my PC running version of GTalk.

Other than that, it has been working pretty good for me.

anyone else having trouble logging into the facebook chat on beejive?
Its told me for two days straight that its not available...

Do yourself a favor and check their website. beejive.com

In the support section there's a link to their Forum. Inside there are several threads about Facebook. They've disabled it for the time being, but they are slowly rolling it back out to all their servers. Should be back up for everyone within a day or two.

I still am getting logged off. Aim has me logged in for 3 days now. Beejive interface is still way better though so I can't wait for their update. Hopefully these issues will be resolved. It's really pointless to get push live when you can't even stay logged in.

Working perfectly fine for me (Using MSN). :)

I know this is probably an obvious question, but what does session timeout in Beejive mean, exactly? Is it an amount of time after which it will timeout if I *haven't* been active?

This is my first experience having IM on my phone, so I'm clueless.

How long it will keep you online. So assuming I ran my Yahoo! IM on Beejive at 8AM PST, it will
disconnect me tomorrow at 8AM - unless I go run the app again which makes it sort of 24/7 online.

Overall, this app has turned very sluggish on me (but so is the rest of 3.0).

I think 3.0 was "Faster" when I first downloaded it but now it just feels very, very slow (and I haven't even tried 3Gs). Maybe I'll do a restore...

Google Talk allows multiple log-ins, so it's not really Beejive's fault. Otherwise people would be getting booted out of their IM clients every time they loaded Gmail in a web browser.

Excellent point.

In that case, fix it by giving me the OPTION Google. :D

i get notifications about disconnections every single day, regardless if i'm on edge, 3G or wifi... it's starting to get annoying.

I finally bought it just for the 3.0 release and haven't had problems with either aim, facebook, or msn. There is about a two second delay between facebook on my computer and my phone, but other than that it works flawlessly. couldn't be happier

:p

go to the beejive settings and turn on "exclude disconnects."

I brought beehive after reading all the rave reviews but have to say I'm dissapoind.

1) the ui is horrible. This was suppose to be the big selling point. It's difficult to add buddys,

2) if you delete buddys or chats they re appear the next time.

3) I hate the chat interface. It looks messy compared with the iPhone SMS app. It's not obvious either. I want my wife to use it on my old 3 g but she can't woork it out.

4)the biggest issue is that it's killing my battery. 10 % down in an hour say.

5) it's unreliable. Wevwere hoping to save our 15c on texts but despite having both a gtalk and jabber chat open you can't depend on it.

I'm waiting for an update. When you receive a notification it's not obvious where to go for the iPhone newbies like my wife- who I've forced my old iPhone on!!

1 - Really?! Are you familiar with the iPhone UI? Its incredibly easy...
2 - Mine dont
3 - It looks nearly identical to the SMS window but with far more features...
4 - This has NOTHING to do with BeeJive. If you are going to complain you really need to know how the iPhone works. Push services in general will drain your battery, not beejive. How exactly is it draining your battery if its NOT EVEN OPEN!? Thus the point of push... Push enabled drains battery, but not as much as a background task. If you had the beejive open in the background all day, you would see actual battery drain far greater than this.
5 - Im starting to think you work for another app company on the app store.

Everything works perfectly for me and all my friends using it. Sounds like the issue is you, and not the App.

I too bought BeeJive 'coz of all the positive feedback it was getting on this forum. I think I made the biggest mistake. This is my first paid app and thus was expecting it to be great. Since I've bought BeeJive I don't think I have gone a single day w/o issues. Let me just name a few:

1. Random disconnects
2. Push notification not coming through
3. Push coming through after hours, I've even had something come through 24 hours after it was actually sent
4. And my biggest issue I'm trying to tackle right now, and its driving me nuts. Basically my gtalk account stays connected all the time. EVEN WHEN I GO INTO BEEJIVE AND SWITCH STATUS TO OFFLINE. Yes, thats right. And my account is not connected through any other computer. Imagine my reaction when I wake up to a random IM from a friend at 3 in the morning when the status clearly shows as me being offline. The BeeJive app is out of sync with their login server. I have tried my best to fix this but have had no luck what so ever.

Is there anyway I can get my money back? I used Palringo in the past and no matter how bad the interface was it never ever had this many issues. I hear good things about IM+, maybe I should give that a try. BeeJive is completely unacceptable in its current state for the amount they charge. Yes, as you can tell, I'm pissed.

For me beejive is working fine, I couldn't bring myself to buy it for a long time. I used IM+ lite always before 3.0. I really liked UI. Now with the added features mainly twitter being pushed, I feel like maybe i should have bought IM+. I got Beejive mainly because its high ratings and it was on sale, @$16.99 i would have never bought it.

Anyone know beejive will add twitter functions? IM+ is looking kind of nice.

Beejive has been an utter disgrace since the 3.0 update. Anyone who says otherwise simply doesn't use the app enough to understand its current deficiencies. Even the developers know there are major issues and have already submitted an update for approval that is supposed to fix the MAJOR bugs.

There are continuous disconnects and the spinning wheel of death. IMs don't get delivered 100% of the time and you can get logged on in mutiple instances and be unable to log out properly. It's really been a mess and I hope Apple approves the update soon b/c the app is unusable it it's current state.

I bought this app 2 weeks ago. The first day I started using it, I was having problems with it disconnecting. I haven't used it since. Hopefully I didn't waste the $9.99. I figure I'll go back into it and try it again whenever an update is made to fix the bugs.

Im not experiencing anything out of the ordinary other than random disconnects after a 24 hour period... but then I just log back in. IM+ disconnected 2 times last night and the UI is HORRIBLE... Horrible cant even describe that debacle.

BeeJive will be golden once the update is approved by Apple.

Fring is working great for me, glad I haven´t paid for Beejive, which apparently is crap... for the money.

IM+ UI is horrible? How so? Change the background image to something simple (I covered the camera lens for a black background) and its incredibly simple. Green bubbles for outgoing, grey for incoming. Oh and their push notifications work. Can't forget that horrible debacle...

Where's the debacle? Please explain.

1- No support for meta contacts - most buddy icons dont show up now at all.
2- You cant change your own icon, and it shows an IM+ ugly icon...
3- The chat bubbles are simply massive
4- Too cartoonish

Honestly, its a great program if they would mature the UI a bit. It looks like something a 5th grader drew for an art project.

I just got Beejive 3.0 and ... does anyone here have the issue where when you scrawl through your contacts and it lags a bit...??
