Installed 9.1 beta 5 and all my issues are gone. My 6 Plus is flying now, best it's ever been really. Finally!!!

i wouldn't call it being impatient. I close safari and have it in my head to open message app, i should be able to immediately press the messages icon and have it register the press and then proceed to open the app. I shouldn't have to wait a second. Lol. The cpu/gpu used to work faster than that in previous iOS versions, it's 2015 why did they dumb down the operating system ?
Same questions that have been around since iOS 7 came out a number of years ago now.

Good to know... I might switch in the future

Apple has really been pissing me off lately with their lack of competence.
With Nexus not only do you get iOS like updates you can switch between all versions any time you want easily

Yes it does, can you post a video with 8.4.1 not having that problem?
Here you go. Sorry for the really crappy quality (using my iPad 4 camera) but I think you'll get the gist. Yeah I'm sure there aren't many people who use their phone like this. (I'm just demonstrating) Probably just some crazy tweaker people on meth maybe! Ha! Anyways I'd like to see somebody post a video of iOS 9 running on anything and have it get around as fast as I can on my 6 on 8.4.1! The only tap I missed was on the google maps once otherwise you can see how quickly things respond under 8.4.1. It's instant and I can tap icons mid animation like it should be. It's just not this way in iOS 9 anymore. iOS 9 maybe fast as hell but... 8.4.1 is faster than hell!!! :)

When you get into your car do you throw it into drive and reverse a few times to see how fast the tranny responds.

So basically you are the type of person who antagonizes people who are affected by regressions simply because they don't affect you, rather than simply say "sucks, man. hope they fix it."

I don't consciously run up against this particular issue in my usage, but I appreciate the observation, because there's lots of places where this kind of sloppiness has made things that once felt snappy and responsive now seem just a little less. They add up. And in many cases they would not be that hard to address. and then we all win, unless it actually negatively impacts you to know someone else's needs are getting served in addition to your own!

No, I'm the type of person who asks about these use cases and wants to stop this generic "IOS 9 sucks" stuff, because it's far from that.

I'm not saying there are no issues and the people who are unhappiest seem to be on ipad air 2 and iphone 6, but I can't tell at this point if it's noise or volume. My i6 on 9.0.2 with my use case works fine. There are some niggling things in ios 9 that have to be addressed, but on the whole IOS 9 is far from unusable; with the safari javascript improvements making it my release of choice.

My guess is those two groups are the ones most sensitive at already seeing performance regressions in their likely less than a year old device.

I think we can agree that ios9 is still plenty usable in many cases. But there's still lots of stuff that needs love. And we are vocal in the hopes that others will agree and we can send feedback to have them fixed.

Do you think I'm stupid?

Do you think I was going to fall for that?

You are either using jailbreaking, or you are speeding up the video!

Don't BS me!

I can make a comparasion video, but first you must prove that you are not JB, and that you are not ffwinding the video, with an analog watch....

You asked for a video and someone posted one. He's not BS'ing anyone, my non jailbroken iPhone 6 on 8.4.1 can do that as well. Dont get all upset because the video busted your "episode of mythbusters"

Anyone can see your comment history here.

And the video was clearly ffwd, just look at how fast his thumb moves... What's that? iOS 8.4.1 gives you super human capabilities too?

Don't take me for a fool!

That doesn't look any faster than 9.1 Beta 5.

Whatever you're looking for, let's hope 9.1 final fixes it for you and others.

Is 9.1 beta good as a daily driver?I can't have the phone crashing out on me in the middle of the day

I've used beta 4 and 5 as a daily driver and haven't had an issue. That's on my 6+. Can't comment on other devices.

There's nothing wrong with his thumb. Sorry to see that he busted your bubble.

1) Open Music app.
2) Rotate screen.
3) Observe the horrendously choppy animation that occurs.

This issue occurs on 9.0.2 as well as 9.1 beta 5.

It's unacceptable. I'm using an iPad Air 2.

Not seeing that here on my Air 2. On 9.1 beta 5.

Uh... OK that's weird.

Just so we're on the same page here, I'm talking about the screen rotation animation. Specifically on the 'My Music' tab. The frame rate is very low. You're not seeing this?

No, but seeing frame rate drop when rotating screen with spotlight search open.

Then if it's not he can prove that he has not installed any jailbreak tricks and that he has not accelerated the video...

not everyone is dumb, ok!
