I've always thought of using my mini for reading but have a kindle. Be nice to use just one device.

How many of you use their mini for reading rather than a kindle?

I used a Kindle for 2-3 years. The iPad Pro 10.5 was my first iPad where I stopped using my Kindle (gave it away) and started using an iPad but it was way too big to use for reading (holding). I gave that to family and got an Air 3 and then again gave to family and got an iPad Mini 5.

Yep, this is exactly it. Now I'm torn between a case with a cover or a standalone case without one so I can use it as a reading device.

I've been getting books on iBooks for the last few years so I can't ever go back to just Kindle. I use Libby, Kindle, iBooks, etc...

Absolutely love my Mini... using it to start reading again. Got a pretty aggressive reading schedule for 2020 set.

This iPad is the perfect size. I'm using it all the time!

I use this for my mini 5 and it works great. Very nice leather.

I use the esr clear back case with Smart Cover. I like the fact I’m able to take the cover off when using it in portrait mode and not folding the cover over to the back.

Just got a 256gb iPad mini 5. This is my first mini iPad and I am LOVING IT!

I'm an avid reader and most of my books are on Google Play books (because they allow you to upload your own epub ebooks from any source and sync just as if you bought from their platform). I have been reading on my phone for ages (since I got rid of my Nexus 7 and Android tablets kinda suck). Tried making my 10" iPad Pro my primary reading device but reading on it always made me wish I could fold the screen in half.

Just finished my first novel in ages entirely on my new iPad mini. Absolutely great reading experience! I personally find that a matte screen protector + True Tone /night mode is enough to prevent eye strain.

I also use a matte screen protector, and while it mutes the colors and brightness a little bit, I rather be free from reflections (distractions) on the screen.

This color is beautiful... it's only the case or you have a skin applied on it?

Had my mini 5 for over two weeks now and love it. on what was likely a device to hold me over til the are new pros are out this is a device I will keep even when the new pros are out. great for taking work and using on my lunch break and watching media even just holding it in my hands as I walk it feels so light and so portable.

will be a device which I will take on weekends away even with a pro...

the new pro 11 inch will be my main device at home but on the go the mini 5 and my pro Max is all I need. while I have the MacBook Air for work and when I need an even bigger screen.

think I have found the perfect balance for my devices now.

Just picked up a new to me iPad mini 5. Couldn’t pass it up, 64gb w/ LTE, Smart Cover, esr clear case, and a stylus for $340. Had a mini 1 that I sold a long time ago and have always loved this size.

Added a white dbrand skin. My iPhone is white and my AirPods are white hence I stuck the skin on 😂

Same!! Less smudges too!. The glare is so bad I don’t know how people use tempered glass or clear ones.
