Call recorder is back in Cydia - version 0.2-242

1, BTW, it's called "CallRecorder" - the dev returned to this name.
2, 403 here too. No panic - it's a server problem, not the package being again removed from public. The same happened to, among other tweaks, Call Recorder for Skype around 8/Feb.

Hope the 403 error is fixed in half an hour - I must go to bed...
I'll need to stay awake a bit more - I've just managed to fix a bug in the latest (1.10) version of nPlayer and just working on a public article for end users on it.
So can I assume that if you upgrade to version 242 that just came out it will once again play the warning?
It surely will. I'll, however, test it as soon as 403 error is fixed and tell you all whether you can safely upgrade without losing the muting. I'll try to release a patched version very soon.

I didn't bought it yet, so I don't know how it works.
But wouldn't be possible to you, Menneisyys2 to make this same patch using FLEX? Just wondering...

Currently not possible. Basically, Flex can only do one thing: override methods. It can't for example make any kind of filesystem changes, let alone configurable file overwriting. Here, the latter is needed.

Audio Recorder is now downloadable from modmyi.. the name will be fixed on the next sync though, so look for CallRecorder for now

Yup, confirmed: he has changed the CRC computation method.
For the time being: do NOT update to this new version - after all, apart from some GUI changes in Settings (e.g., the removal of the "Play audio on the other end?" submenu), there doesn't seem to be any changes or compatibility improvements! Stay with my version (see the original post). I'll let you know if and when I manage to hack into the new version.

You should be able to use the old, muted -227 version even if you purchase a license now. Just
1, install and activate the official version
2, uninstall it
3, install my hacked version.
Let me know if it doesn't work and also if it does so that I can update the original post.
