Wait I think i missread, all your tweak does is disable to vocal locally?

Aka the one who i'm talking to will still hear it?

Nope, he won't, my version is perfectly safe... I stated the new, -246 version no longer has the setting that disables playing back the warning locally.

Well then tell me if i did something wrong (possible since i'm a dumbass)

1) Activated the Callrecorder liscence
2) Installed this https://dl.dropbox.com/u/81986513/032013/Azul/CallRecorderNoWarningByMenneisyys.deb from Ifile
3) Rebooted
4) When i went into settings i had the option to disable the voice but it did said that the receiver would still hear the message (but not the caller)
5) And it didnt work kinda, when i was in speaker mode i didnt had the record icon, and i didnt had the icon on my home screen to listen to the recording i made

For now switched back to the official release

Interestingly, at first, I faced the same. That is, I've explicitly uninstalled my 227 and installed the new 246 from Cydia. After trying to hack its CAF / string file, I've uninstalled it (official 246) and returned to my 227 by installing it. It wouldn't record.

Then, without uninstalling explicitly, I've reinstalled the new (official 246) version again to find out whether my device UUID had been blacklisted because of my attempting to change the CAF warning file. Nope - 246 recorded just fine (with the currently unhackable warning, of course).

Then, without an explicit uninstall of 246, I installed the official (!!!) 227 (net.limneos.callrecorder_0.2-227_iphoneos-arm.deb - hope you've saved it as well via OpenBackup) via iFile. The official 227 recorded just fine (with playing back the warning). Then, I installed my 227 on top of the official 227 Ive installed in the prev. step - and it worked just fine! That is, it doesn't play the warning but still records.

All in all, try doing what I've done to return to my 227 in the following order:

1, install official 246
2, install official 227
3, install my version

First post updated with new info.

When i go into settings and vocal warning all i get is a blank page

BUT

I did some tests and it seems to work

Thank you

Ok so did more tests, and after talking with my mom for 5min when i pressed the record button she didnt hear the message which is awsome.

Now if we could only find a way so that an Iphone4s could record without beeing on speaker mode for privacy purpose would be awsome

The Dev ws working on that prior the stop, so he might get that in on future updates.

Strange. It might mean the old version isn't fully restored?

Great to hear it's working :)

I simply downloaded (and at the same time installed) the new version (02-246) just to get the .deb file.
Then just reinstalled the custom version from Menneisyys2 over top of the newest version from Limneos.

Worked fine, no warning message either to other party or played on my end.

Gr8!

i'll post more when i'm home (typing this from the mens room of the swimming pool of our company on an ipad so can't enter much now)

I'm trying to find this on Cydia and all I get is the old Audio Recorder (0.2-220), which merely gives the 403 error when I try to download it. Searching for Callrecorder or Call Recorder turns up no results.
Am I missing something?

I think was some problems, i was able to download for free yesterday and it was activated  now its not on cydia.

Refresh the packages

they changed the name it's now Audio Recorder

version 0.2-227

Exactly that was the name it had, i saw it on the new app/tweaks feed and caught my attention :) it was from the same guy but now i cant find it.

I thought the newest (official) version was 02-246.

How do you refresh the packages?

Hitting "Reload" on the main Cydia page does nothing.

No dice...

Here's what I get refreshing from the Changes page...

And doesn't Cydia refresh anyway when it's whenever launched?

Is anyone actually seeing Callrecorder 02-246 on the repo at this moment, or am I the only one getting this error?

The only version of Audio Recorder is 0.2-220 which has been up for a while, and in any event returns the 403 error which was reported days ago...

BTW, why do you want to install 246? It, currently, can't be muted and as I've pointed out above, there doesn't seem to be any difference between it and the muted and safe 227.

Basically, now that the license purchase server is online again, it should be possible to activate the official 227 version first and just install my muted 227 on it. Albeit some users have reported it does work, some others stated installing my 227 directly on top of an official 246 didn't work. (Neither did on my iPhone 5 once.)

I couldn't test this as it would have involved having to completely restore my previously registered iPhone 5 - which isn't possible now that 6.1.3 is non-JB'able. Please if you still haven't purchased a license, try activating it via the official 227.

Posted this to the "UPDATE (11/Apr/2013 21:24 GMT)" update in the original post too.

Eureka!

Menneisyys2 - much thanks for all the work! I had no idea I could download your custom .deb and license it. Anyway, I just did and am happily on a licensed copy of 0.2-227 (FINALLY). I hadn't checked the 1st page for many days, and so was unaware of any edits / updates.

Cheers!

Elias' twitter, 2min ago:

"AudioRecorder was pulled from modmyi until they research its legality. You can add my repo http://limneos.net/repo and get it from there."

Thanks! In the meantime, I've overwritten the original post to refer people to use the official 227 version for purchasing a license and only latter install my 227 on top of the official and now-licensed one. I don't want to be accused of "catching" Paypal passwords etc. (BTW, exactly this is why I've scrutinized the new URL's used by the cracked version (not mine) in the old thread (those posts are all gone now). There, it could "only" send out and sniff UDID's as, being cracked meant there was no need to get a license in the first place.)

Nevertheless, it's great to hear even my custom version was able to be licensed.

BTW, I've seen your thread on Twitter. You stated "just waiting for the Mute patch lol", to which "David Stephens" answered as follows: " that will be impossible. The dev for legal reasons had to include it... And for your benefit and legal protection."

The latter is, of course, not true. Let me point out again that not a single other call recorder app (I've listed some in the original post) on other mobile platforms (or Skype Recorder on iOS) has ever played a warning. Some have even actively suppressed hardware-generated warning beeps.
