Wow. I thought the feature would not be a big deal. It’s totally worth it. Zero reflections. I only see what’s on the screen. I can’t even look at my secondary display now due to how bad it is with reflecting everything around and behind me.

Other than the $$$6K Apple XDR, is there any other display on the market with this feature?

The Huion Kamvas 22 Plus pen display (review here) has matte glass too.

Nope. Maybe for games but not for work. I own both and have run real world tests. End of argument.

Who’se next?
I am next and be warned - I know how to spell “who is”. The 2020 top BTO spec is faster in most applications, apart from some specific applications and synthetic benchmarks. Every review and test shows this, apart from yours.

End of argument? Are you 12?

some things I heard is that the "consumer" iMac throttles in some situations, where the "pro" machine wouldn't. there's probably something to that effect in terms of the internal building of the machine, cooling etc, that is not easy to realize by simply reading a list of specs.

That is a fair point. Thermals can make a difference and workload will make a difference, but the 2020 10 core iMac destroys all iMac pros in single core performance and trails by a bit in multi-core applications. I don't think buying an iMac Pro in 2020 is a wise idea, considering the architecture and price. Majority of users are better off with a 2020 imac.

ya that's why I went with the 2020 iMac. Will likely switch to the pro if/when it gets refreshed. I'd also love the additional TB3 bus.

Exactly. I couldn't agree more.

If I could have gotten by on two 10 Core 2020s, I would have been glad to have saved some money. But after a side by side comparison, I went with a 2020 10 Core and a faster iMac Pro than the one I already owned.

And then I posted about it.

Some appear to be very threatened by my opinions — even though I made it clear time after time that they applied only to my situation.

They keep beating this subject to death as if their validation is important. Unfortunately, none of them have demonstrated enough knowledge for me to consider their opinions as anything other than idle chatter.
