iOS11 beta runs just fine on our test iPad 2017s. No issues what so ever....and I can see the coming iOS11 will not run smoothly on the old machine.

This is good to hear. I've been looking around for info specifically about the 2017 iPad running iOS 11. So no UI sluggishness?iOS11 beta runs just fine on our test iPad 2017s. No issues what so ever.
I think the Pro will last a wee bit more then "a little longer"
So no UI sluggishness?
Don't underestimate Apple's ability to make you 'need' an upgrade.

The betas are sluggish purely because they're betas. But I would not expect iOS 11 to slow down any current-generation/new device. Hell, my iPhone 7 Plus feels even quicker on iOS 11 but my iPad mini 4 has definitely slowed down.
APFS ( as of iOS 10.3 ) and 64bit requirements seem to make the beta much snappier than previous betas that have rolled out. Not sure how the final product will work, but it looks quite promising. This is good to hear. I've been looking around for info specifically about the 2017 iPad running iOS 11. So no UI sluggishness?

What do you mean by this? Would you mind elaborating please?
AppleCare+ is $99 plus I think $50 for each incident (max two). Out of warranty replacement cost is $249. Personally, I'd just wing it.Having used it for a couple of days now I can definitely see the speed difference and loving the split screen stuff. No more flipping back and forth when you're using 2 apps for some time or wanna keep one main app available all the time. Also more apps are available in the memory.
Didn't get Apple care + though. Not sure if I made the right decision.

Good to hear your positive experiences thus far. What are your thoughts with the lack of laminated display? Any issues under certain lighting conditions with the brightness maxed?
Those aren't particularly good 'phones. You need to spend a bit more for something decent.Nope, V-Moda Crossfade 2 Wireless headphones. And I can definitely tell a difference in the audio quality of the speakers. The 10.5 inch pro has a horrible low-end volume situation.

The iPad's 4 speakers are great for watching films.
No it won't, because next year something new will be added to the Pro and everyone will declare the current 10.5 dead. The iPad Pro 10.5 will outlast the iPad 2017 by a minimum of 2 yrs and a maximum of 4+ yrs.
Lol, ain't that the truth. No it won't, because next year something new will be added to the Pro and everyone will declare the current 10.5 dead.

Air 2 onwards, reckon could last as long as desktops and laptops but Apple marketing can be pretty darned effective getting people to want to buy the next shiny new iThing.![]()
I hope the next iPad Pro (probably 18 months later) is not that stunning so my current iPad Pro 10.5 can last for at least 3 years.Lol, ain't that the truth.
