new 8 core orders - delivery dates

I ordered 12 gb ram from macsales on Saturday and it still hasn't shipped. They said that it was backordered but would ship today. But it hasn't. Who knows, maybe my Mac Pro will arrive before the ram... Anyone else seeing delays for ram shipments from macsales?
I am pretty annoyed. I ordered half an hour after the announcement:
stock 2x2.26 + 4870
I need to vent: It has not shipped yet. Maybe because I live in Canada, or I am a student (need this for my research)? Secondly, the performance of the 2x2.26 is pathetic. A dual-2.8 beats it, and is available to me for $1000.00 cheaper. I could also probably get my hands on a 2008 2x3.0 for much cheaper than the 2x2.26.
Anyone else in Canada getting lame shipment dates?

I too ordered on the third, but mine has shipped.. yesterday form somewhere in ontario. It is already here in Calgary where I live, since Calgary is a fedex hub... it says it is at the sort facility so it likely won't be out for today's delivery... I wonder if they'd let me just pick it up?

Ordered 8 core 2.93GHz with airport, dual super drives, ati4870 on the 3rd... shipment initiated late at night on the 9th because of this shipment date changed from the 13th to the 16th. So I'll have to wait a weekend, wish shipment got initiated earlier on the 9th.

Mine is sitting at the custom. It's coming on friday.

My order was processed Monday morn 3/9 and I got notice it was shipped 3/10. Should be delivered on Friday 3/13. Pretty good turn-around. Ordered 8x2.26, 6GB, ATI video. I am glad it won't come sooner in the week, but in time for the weekend!

I must have be lucky - ordered midday (EST) on the announced day, shipped from CA around 8pm EST Monday and was on my doorstep on Tuesday 10.30am EST.

Above: I called Apple to see what was up, the guy zeroed my expedited shipping charge. I'm still very disappointed with this farce.

FWIW, my 2008 MP 3,1 8 core arrived right on time...March-ish 2008.
Anyway, my 2013 MP 6,1 8 core still shows "Processing" with an expected ship date in February - boo! Yes, I check it everyday hoping that Apple will under-promise and over-deliver but no movement yet. It's coming with the D500s, 32GB and 1TB SSD.
Last week I called my local apple store (which I usually avoid like the plague because of the crowds and cramped space) hoping that they might finally have one in stock so I could see it...possibly even with the 32" 4K display. Even my local store doesn't have a stock config on the floor yet and they said their planogram doesn't have it hooked up to the 4K display...just the old TB display.

But since we're here talking about 8-core Mac Pros, my 8-core nMP arrived exactly one week ago. 8c, 64GB, D700s, 1TB SSD. I put my order in almost immediately after the store came up on the 19th. It just said "January" on the order until the week prior to shipping it changed to "processing", then back to "January". Did that a time or two on the 3rd, then shipped on the 6th and arrived on the 8th. I'm in Colorado, so ground shipping from Texas was 2 days.
Really nice system, very pleased with it so far.

I've got the same spec one coming in Feb, keep us posted on how it runs, would love to see some windows gaming with the D700 or testing with after effects.
