That's why I just had them come to my work. I work in a small Office so it was ok for me.
Mine has also changed to 'Prepare for shipping' I haven't been watching it closely, more excited for my new Receiver. AirPlay, and 5.1 surround.. Can't wait.
Mine is now "Preparing for Shipment."
Now it has "Shipped." I just got the email notice.
I live less than that from my home. It's just easier for me and I know I will personally sign for it.

I just kind of went for it on the Apple TV. It seems cool and I think I'll like it but I had no real need for it. what does everyone use it for? Or planning to use it for?

I use it to play music, so I'm always using Airplay from my iPhone or iPad to it. I also airplay over a bunch of movies/tv shows I downloaded from the internet, and occasionally rent movies from iTunes. It's really useful. I can't wait for Airplay mirroring in Mountain Lion. There will no longer be a need to ever convert files before you can play them on the ATV so you can Airplay everything over to it.
What to use it for? Just last night we watched a video of Chris Pirillo's dad trying to figure out Windows 8 from YouTube. The best part is that the wife actually asked if I could just fling it up the Apple TV from my iPhone to show her. She is being assimilated...muhahahaha.
Same here. My tracking screen from FedEx looks just like ELMI0001's up there.
Guess it will be AppleTV tomorrow followed by iPad on Friday.
My order was cancelled by Apple.
I called they said it was in error but there was nothing they could do about it. They resubmitted the order and now my ship time is March 22nd to the 29th.
Between this and getting charged for 4 iPads when I only ordered 2, I'm getting a little annoyed with the Apple Online Store.

Pretty much sums up what I'm thinking I'll use it for. A no-brainer purchase for me and I'm quite sure I'll wonder how I lived without it before.
I might look into Netflix account too. Comcast keeps giving me sweetheart deals every April when I threatened to quit but I might actually do it this time if I can get by with local TV, Netflix, and the occasional rental/purchase from iTunes.
Damn that sucks, I would've asked for some kind of credit since you have to wait an extra week or 2.
I try not to blow up on the customer service people since I know it isn't there fault. Sometimes it is hard, very hard not to explode on them.

Got a shipping notice in Canada. Ships via FedEx (and not UPS like the iPads). Still not in the FedEx system yet, so no estimated delivery. I would assume tomorrow or Friday, though.
