I agree you don't have to use the wallpapers, but you should be able to remove them from your device.
What a ridiculous thing to suggest.
You know that like every computer made over the past 30 years, including apples, come with a default set of wallpapers, right?
Every phone usually comes with a default set of ringtones and text tones…
People will really complain about anything.

Yeah, the tide is going out and we're finding out what everyone has looked like "under the surface"

It's frankly appalling
It is poorly designed watch face (one of many recently) but bc it' a unity watch face somehow some folks like it, although it's kind of hard to use bc you don't se exact time at a glance. You need to check. I mean why someone would need that. Or you use watches just to show-off? Ok then.

An amazing thing we get to do whether we agree or not agree with something is to choose to Buy or Not to Buy. I don't need a new watch band so I will choose not to buy one. Freedom is an amazing thing

This can appeal to everyone – it's in the name: Unity.

It seems that the way you're thinking about this is an example of what's causing it to be divided in "blocs". You can use/buy the Unity collection items if you want to support unity between people, instead of division.
No it is not. Therefore there are used certain colors to appeal to black folks. I don't care however. But what I care about is why is so poorly made again. Another watch face to scroll through. Every year they do the same. Wallpaper slap and call it a day. It is almost like they actually don't care about unity at all. They just mark off another ESG task done.

You conveniently are leaving the word before that out, which doesn't appeal to everyone. I get what you're saying, but this is targeted and I'm not keen on that. It also demeans the group and assumes they all think alike and should be as one. I oppose all division into groups, I treat people as individuals, which is why I suggested Apple do bands for charities or causes for a cure. Unity is nebulous.

..but to answer your question; here you go:

Quite insulting to assume Trump support equals "white solidarity". He had record support amongst minorities and a case could be made that assuming one is non-white ergo they're not a Republican, is too sort of prejudicedly believe that all people that aren't white do or should think the same.

I'll be the first to admit that this isn't my cup of tea so to speak. The design is clever and visually appealing and I'm sure a lot of Apple users will find it attractive and enjoyable.

As a pasty white guy I don't understand the righteous indignation of some people over a watch band and wallpaper.

If you don't like it, don't use it and move on. No one is forcing it on to your device. No one is making you support "black unity". So shrug your shoulders, mutter "meh" and move on with your life.

If it neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg..

I'm not inclined to pour so much energy and attention into something that has no effect on my life unless I pour more energy and attention into it. There are plenty of "insert cause here" awareness months in the year. I ignore most, if not all of them. I'm busy living life and really don't have the time or energy to to be triggered.

If you don't like it, don't download it. Don't buy the watch band, and don't participate. No one is FORCING the black unity wallpaper on you. No one is making you buy the band.

I have the original Black Unity sports band, and have used some of the watch faces and iPad wallpaper over the years. The Unity Bloom wallpaper is particularly beautiful on the OLED screen on the m4 iPad.

I will download and try these watch faces and wallpapers (though I like my watch faces to have numbers or at least markers for time). I check out the bands every year in the store. The bands go particularly well with darker watches (Jet Black and Slate) and gold watches. I like to use mine with my old S7 green watch.

You haven‘t even seen the watch face yet. Because if you had read the article before rage-commenting, you would have noticed that it is not a static „wallpaper“, but When a user raises their wrist to check the time, the abstract brush strokes seamlessly transform into digits.

Unity Lights and Unity Bloom were also dynamic btw, so no „wallpapers“, either.

Because leave it to the closet bigots to turn even the opening of an envelope into something political.
So opposition to product pandering based on immutable characteristics or sexual preference is "bigoted"? Seems this is another example of definitions being so broadened that any opposition is impossible, to some of you. Either you support it or you're a "bigot"? You don't think that's a bit strange?

I won't speak for the group but I don't think anyone's angry about it. Commenting in opposition is all I am seeing (and practicing) and it doesn't appear anyone is saying to ban the product. If people wanna buy it, that's fine, no problem, I just wish they'd do something that has tangible benefit and appeals to everyone.

So you have to raise your hand.. ok then at least something. Maybe next year we can have something working with AOD.

Your right "Default Set of Wallpapers" This is not a default wallpaper. Apparently you like vendors pushing out unwanted items to your devices.

Disheartening to see the comment section of… *checks notes* a watch band take such a venomous and hateful position. Crazy that my skin tone/culture is a political issue now (again?).

Just for the record, the reason why Black History month and “virtue signaling” (🙄) like this are necessary reminders of what the Black community has endured for centuries is evidenced by how viscerally most of these comments are.
