Political correctness run amok - the revolver is now a squirt gun??? Really???
I don't like them as of now, but I am sure they will grow on me. I love emojis.
That being said, they changed my favourite emoji and looks so different now

they look so dated and dont match the overall look of iOS at all. MSN called they want their extinct yellow peeps back. time to spam the bug reporter
Third party keyboards can't do that. I'm pretty sure Unicode is the one who changed that emoji to a water gun actually.
I am very mad about the gun. I am sick and tired of Apple getting into politics. Sure, give me hate for this, but I am a gun loving Texan. I use the gun emoji a lot. It is one of my most frequently used emojis along with the fishing pole. Please, just get out of politics Apple.

A lot of people use the gun emoji, whether they like guns or not. I use it jokingly all the time.
You won't be alone in that... I guess we can all send the powers that be the bird flip emoji for taking away the revolver...
Right...because that is an effective way of utilizing the feedback app. Spam them with useless garbage. (And some people wonder why it seems Apple doesn't listen to feedback)
So will the somewhat different gun emoji affect what you are trying to convey with the use of that emoji?
But how will people know how manly they are when they send emojis now?

I guess on the International Emoji Scale of Importance (IESI), which has been the golden standard throughout the world and is used by everyone in all situations for centuries, only "water gun" level, and not "bazooka" level, which truly changes what is conveyed by the message where the emoji is being used.
The sticker packs that will be on the app store after the release of ios 10 will surely make you happy. Kim Kardashian with a gun; imagine that.
It removes the humor out of it. Putting a face emoji with a gun (a humorous way of saying "I'm gonna kill myself") is a lot different than putting a face next to a water toy.
Actually in 1990 the emojis 'limes' looked like this (remove space) : ) : D : ( ; )I don't lime the new emojies. They look so 1990.
Pretty sure there's about as much "humor" there no matter which one would be used (in fact one could say that the water gun would be even more humorous there). And it would still seem to get the same point across realistically speaking.
