I'm just pretty sure this is the date of the new release. I think there will be some hardware upgrades, such as:

CPU

Montevina (Centrino 2) platform.
Low-end: Core 2 Duo 2.8GHz.
High-end: Core 2 Duo 3.06GHz or Core 2 Extreme Quad-Core 2.53GHz.

GPU

Low-end: NVIDIA GeForce 9400M (256MB GDDR3).
High-end: NVIDIA GeForce 9400M + 9600M GT (256MB or 512MB GDDR3).

RAM

Maximum of 8GB of RAM memory (SDRAM DDR3 at 1.066 MHz).

PORTS

Mini DisplayPort.

There will be no design upgrades as the design is just perfect (or at least for me ;)), and if so, they would make the iMac thinner.

NOTE: This is just my prediction date and specs of the new iMacs. Although, I think they are extremely accurate.

Way to go to copy me dude. Too bad I predicted it first.

Pattern Apple Updates

Here is the quick pattern: Sept. 9th (2nd Week) iPod Update, Oct.14th (2nd Week) Macbook Update, and Now Nov. 11th (2nd Week) iMac Update.

Unless they give you four slots, 8GB is impossible right now. Each 4GB dimm costs $2k or so. Otherwise the predictions seem about right (except for that insanely fast 'low end' processor)

You can rest assured that there will not be any new Apple news or hardware on November 11th. November 11th is Veterans' Day, a national holiday.

oops I feel so dumb now haha wow I can't believe I forgot that. Wow now it's easy Nov 18th New iMacs !!! Nov 4th- Election Day Nov 11th- Veteran's Day.

Care to make an extremely accurate prediction on firewire inclusion?

I don't think Apple will drop FireWire from the iMacs. Tons of iMacs are still use in video editing and education environments. Apple couldn't afford to drop it. MacBooks... maybe Apple had a reason. iMacs? Too beneficial.

I don't believe that iMacs use FB-DIMMS and the poster mentioned SDRAM DDR3. I can't find them in 4GB sizes on Newegg though, so I'll take your word here. I'm pretty sure they'd put in two more slots though :)

They will definitely not drop Firewire in the iMac. Cause professionals are known to use iMacs instead of the Mac Pro (they seriously don't expect people to buy Mac Pros because of FW). They may however drop it in the 20" model (for some stupid reason).

As for the 8GB, definitely not happening. They will have to redesign the insides of the thing to fit in the extra two slots. Although, the chipset et al does support 8GB, so Snow Leopard might just enable it software wise.

It's funny that you say it'll have the centrino 2 chipset while you're predicting 9400M at the same time. Having 2 chipsets sure would be smart

9400M is an NVIDIA graphics card.
Intel Centrino 2 is a processor.
Montevina is the chipset.

There's firewire (check my NOTE 2).

They just added Firewire 800 on the alu iMac, they wont remove it. The most they will do is drop Firewire 400.

Oh god, that's true, this happens to me because I'm not American. I just predicted the date on a tuesday somewhere in the middle of November.
