13 inches for an iPad? Too big for someone like me. Shaq on the other hand...

Actually for most people, the iPad Air is the logical choice. It supports pretty much every accessory now and comes in 13", same as the iPad Pro.

The only thing the new Pros have over the Air are the OLED displays and M4 processors really. Most consumers should just get the iPad Air. The Pro is for people who really want to spend money on an iPad for the absolute best tablet tech from Apple.
It’s less about “best tablet tech” and more about professional Photographers and videographers and other artists creating their work.

iPad Air is still targeted towards content consumption, instead of creation.

The previous iPad Pro model had two rear cameras, a Wide and Ultra Wide.

The new model only has a single Wide camera.
How odd. Just remove and leave same design. How much could this save if trying to keep cost down. The iPad isn’t the most used for pictures bur still. Once again, Apple still will not release a product with all available tech. Removing something that was already incorporated, wow.

I know Tim will never allow this because revenue from two devices is better than one. But... make a Magic Keyboard with enough internals to create a MacPad as per the link below (the iPad's M4 chip will be the SOC, the keyboard has the connections and whatever else Apple needs to provide (RAM w/ MacOS). Let's say the MacPad Magic Keyboard is $1000. I would love, LOVE this product with the new 13 IPP. Please, please if any Apple PMs are reading this, try to do something really innovative and focused on your hard-core professional users (I might qualify). Link:

Not exactly. When you look closely Air is now "Pro light". You get all the features from Pencil Pro, the hover feature (previously only in M2 Pro), and all other M2 chip features. Air M2 is basically the same as M2 Pro, the only things missing are 120Hz and XDR (12.9") which for creation doesn't make a difference.

NPU: Still Lower than Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite (Plus or Elite) ?
Memory BW: Still Lower than Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite (Plus or Elite)?
8 GB of RAM?? REALLY?
AV1: Not clear if it supports AV1 Encoding, I guess not for now, Qualcomm does ... 4K AV1 Encode and Decode
Thinner Ipad Pro? Personally I do not care.

They had to clarify, better than any PC shipping Today because in a few weeks there will be tons of PCs with the Qualcomm Snapdragon ....

I think they should have done more but the reason I will not buy it is the 8 GB of RAM, that's a joke that is not funny anymore.

AV1: yes, it does. M3 already did.

Ah, a new product release wouldn't be the same without the obligatory outrage post about the buy-everything price.
Wait until people figure out they can buy a 2024 5 series BMW starting at about $58,000 or, with all the options, around $87,000 (that's not counting dealer-specific addons).

Serious questions for you that I want you to answer?

1. Does something with the Snapdragon Elite run iPadOS?
2. Does the NPU in the Qualcomm Snapdragon out-perform the M4 in real world usage (or in any benchmarks)?
3. Would you really buy the iPad Pro if it had 12 GB or 16 GB of RAM? For the record, you can get an iPad Pro with 16 GB of RAM.

Also, yes, the M4 does AV1 decoding.

They had to compare to what exists today because they lack time travel technology.

Still, I'm looking forward to the shakeup of the new Snapdragons in the PC market. Those guys deserve some good news.
