I have a 2020 IPad Pro.... I think a 13" IPad Air would be perfect for me. I just worry I will miss the ProMotion display.
You would at first but your eyes adapt back to 60Hz soon enough. At least that's what happens with my eyes. It will look very sluggish at first though.I have a 2020 IPad Pro.... I think a 13" IPad Air would be perfect for me. I just worry I will miss the ProMotion display.
Likely several Macs.Let's be real. Most people actually buying a maxed out iPad Pro also already own a Mac.
Yeah, exactly, prices stayed the same only for US.$4057 including taxes in Sweden, $3971 in Germany. And Apple is wondering why the iPad sales go down.
It’s less about “best tablet tech” and more about professional Photographers and videographers and other artists creating their work.Actually for most people, the iPad Air is the logical choice. It supports pretty much every accessory now and comes in 13", same as the iPad Pro.
The only thing the new Pros have over the Air are the OLED displays and M4 processors really. Most consumers should just get the iPad Air. The Pro is for people who really want to spend money on an iPad for the absolute best tablet tech from Apple.
How odd. Just remove and leave same design. How much could this save if trying to keep cost down. The iPad isn’t the most used for pictures bur still. Once again, Apple still will not release a product with all available tech. Removing something that was already incorporated, wow.The previous iPad Pro model had two rear cameras, a Wide and Ultra Wide.
The new model only has a single Wide camera.
Not exactly. When you look closely Air is now "Pro light". You get all the features from Pencil Pro, the hover feature (previously only in M2 Pro), and all other M2 chip features. Air M2 is basically the same as M2 Pro, the only things missing are 120Hz and XDR (12.9") which for creation doesn't make a difference. It’s less about “best tablet tech” and more about professional Photographers and videographers and other artists creating their work.
iPad Air is still targeted towards content consumption, instead of creation.
AV1: yes, it does. M3 already did.NPU: Still Lower than Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite (Plus or Elite) ?
Memory BW: Still Lower than Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite (Plus or Elite)?
8 GB of RAM?? REALLY?
AV1: Not clear if it supports AV1 Encoding, I guess not for now, Qualcomm does ... 4K AV1 Encode and Decode
Wait until people figure out they can buy a 2024 5 series BMW starting at about $58,000 or, with all the options, around $87,000 (that's not counting dealer-specific addons).Ah, a new product release wouldn't be the same without the obligatory outrage post about the buy-everything price.
Nah - Inferior screen and outdated chip. (I’m trolling a bit on that last one - but seriously, iPads are much more fun to use For me)Buy a mac.
What? For gamers, yeah. But for pro users? And for most professional users - buy a windows Machine
Serious questions for you that I want you to answer?NPU: Still Lower than Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite (Plus or Elite) ?

Thinner Ipad Pro? Personally I do not care.
They had to clarify, better than any PC shipping Today because in a few weeks there will be tons of PCs with the Qualcomm Snapdragon ....
I think they should have done more but the reason I will not buy it is the 8 GB of RAM, that's a joke that is not funny anymore.
They had to compare to what exists today because they lack time travel technology. They had to clarify, better than any PC shipping Today because in a few weeks there will be tons of PCs with the Qualcomm Snapdragon ....
iPad could have 128GB of RAM and currently, it would not make any difference. ipadOS barely utilizes even that base 8GB.3. Would you really buy the iPad Pro if it had 12 GB or 16 GB of RAM?
Never is a LONG time...Which is why you will never see a touchscreen Mac
