When you have stupid money, you consider a fully loaded iPad Pro or how about buying a 13" Macbook Air with 16GB for less?

how do you think those people don't have a Mac as well?

chances are they just have a ton on their devices and want more ram. 512GB storage and 8GB of ram is fine for me on an iPad.

people shouldn't judge what others spend their Money on. if tech is their main hobby that's up to them. if they can't afford it that's one thing but if that's all they like to spend money on that's up to them

Apple's newly announced iPad Pro models cost over $3,000 when fully configured with all available options and accessories, making it the priciest iPad to date.

The cost breakdown for the top-specification iPad Pro is as follows:

  • 13-inch iPad Pro (starting price): $1,299
  • 2TB storage: +$1,000
  • Nano-texture glass option: +$100
  • Wi-Fi + Cellular: +$200
  • Apple Pencil Pro: $129
  • Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro (13-inch model): $349

The maxed-out iPad Pro costs $2,599, but with the Apple Pencil Pro and the Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro, it comes to a total of $3,077 – a new high for the iPad.

Apple is cashing their dependency and giving more room for Samsung. I was waiting for the M3 pro for past six months but the price is bumped by 200$.
Apple could have played smart game like they did for iPhone 15 pro Max.
I am thinking to switch back to Samsung after 6 years of journey with Apple. It is all because of price hike and lack of AI.

Buy a mac.

But I already have a Mac, so why would I want or need another one?

This is why said argument has always struck me as odd - the implication that these two devices are mutually exclusive, and that getting one somehow precludes me from buying the other.

What. No love for the tablet design in the 60's original Star Trek? Given the time and budget they did a good job of predicting the tablet, including the Apple Pencil. TNG just moderised the design, which given the tech they could put into the props back when TNG hits the airwaves makes sense.
late to the game (thinking about getting the M4, but that 2k just seems morally wrong to spend given my 2019 IPP is just fine for my consumption needs, which is what I do with the iPad.

Anyway as to love for the Star Trek TOS I was at Momenta Computer when it launched one of the first tablets in 1991 and we gave ST the love:
