New iPhone Leather Case

Hey all, what do you suppose the Sapphire will look like once its aged? This is a tempting buy for me as I've heard it looks amazing with Jet Black (none of my local Apple Stores have the 7+ cases to try on though)
My first ever Apple Leather case was the light-blue 5s if you remember that one; it looked absolutely hideous a few months later, went black everywhere ^

Oh wow, that is indeed beautiful. It does look somewhat similar to the Ocean Blue silicone but I love how its a real balance between the Sea Blue leather + Midnight Blue! Ive also heard the new colours have a nicer texture too on the plus side as well
I just purchased the Sapphire leather case for the 7 plus. Wow the feel of the leather of this case is a lot better than the grip of the older models (the black and saddle brown). The leather feels softer and easier to grip. The older model...the leather was too slippery and the leather felt "dry"
It really DOES look like the Ocean Blue silicone on my 7+! And that is a good thing. It is an extremely beautiful colour. Sadly, for the same reason (similarity), thats whats making me wonder if its therefore worth getting.
What I am sure of though. Is that this Sapphire, its a seasonal, special edition colour, that will be discontinued as soon as the next iPhone and its cases come out. Remember exactly one year ago when the 6s and it got all the cool colour leather cases? Marigold, Storm Grey, Marine (now redundant tho)... Yeah well they all got discontinued, all of them, as soon as the 7 came out. Just some food for thought, for potential buyers.
EDIT - uploading a pic of my Ocean blue case for comparison. Although unlike Wills pic, mine was taken in poor lighting, I can assure you it is much closer to that shade in natural daylight.

It does feel a lot better, doesn't it? That's the first thing I noticed was how soft it feels from the other versions. I love it. Now I'm thinking about getting the sapphire.
I agree that it feels much better that the first 7+ leather cases.

Here are both together.
I went ahead and got Sapphire last week and man this thing truely may be one of the most beautiful colours Apple came up with ever for its leather cases.
Ill post pics later its really late here, but yeah, I'm really stunned. They may as well have also named it Jet Blue because the colour really pops out and shines and its so pleasant. And it feels miles better than the dog-skin that was the 6s leather cases.
In fact I'm so impressed, I actually now don't want it to age because I like it how it is, but if it ages to look like how it does on Apples website (looks different stock vs IRL) then i think that would be really lovely

On a trip to London this week I went into the Apple Store on Regents street and queried the quality of the leather on my iPhone 7 plus case that I bought last September. The guy was so helpful that he exchanged it for a new one! The leather is so much nicer and softer on the newer cases.
I got the new berry colored case too. How do you like it now, after a couple weeks and it's started to darken?Not the same person but I absolutely love the berry with my rose gold.
Sea blue is around for the standard 7. For the 7+, it's no longer available.

Which country do you live in? Sea Blue didn't really catch my interest, Ocean blue did however.
If you live in the US or Australia, check the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus leather case pages on Apples website. You'll find that Sea Blue has been removed altogether for the 7 Plus in the US store, while it may still remain for now in Australia's store, its not on the shelves in any Apple Store in person, which suggests Apple doesn't really want to keep it in circulation.
It's just like, actually, just yesterday, I went into two Apple Stores here to try to buy another Ocean Blue silicone as a present for my younger cousin (who said he loved my case) who's getting a 7+ in a week, using the same trick; "I know it's not coming up, but you should have some in the backroom perhaps" and they were happy to look for me. Both came back telling me the "last few units had already been sent off back to Apple and that the product has been officially discontinued, we're really sorry. The lineup has been overhauled with the recent 2017 iPad event where new accessory colours were also introduced and Ocean Blue didn't make the cut"
So I officially have a vintage iPhone case woo
In regards to which I prefer,
Sea Blue -> Sapphire , I think Sapphire looks nicer, personally. It just has this "pop" to it tha I've never seen before in any of Apples leather cases.
Ocean Blue -> Azure however, (along with camellia) I'll never have any interest in because it's too light but it's very popular among my female friends (whereas they thought Ocean Blue was too dark), so at least some are benefiting

I'm with you on the Sapphire blue, I got one as soon as they arrived for shipping. It feels better than the other 7/7+ leather cases I have as well, feels softer.
However I keep going back to my Pitaka just because I love it so much.
