Around two weeks with the saddle brown and just love it. The color has gotten darker and the grip is fantastic. I wish there were more color options. I already have the midnight and red.

This is what I used. Lexol and as I say, I only put a tiny amount on.

I think you should have used a conditioner instead of a cleaner. Also, Lexol is oil based. If the Apple case is coated, then you should only use a water based conditioner because the oil one can't penetrate the urethane coating and then it just leaves a sticky mess on the surface. If you use a water based conditioner then it gets absorbed quickly and the leather will feel supple and smooth.

Thanks. That's exactly what happened to my first case. Got another now and no putting anything on. Lesson learned!

I was tempted to spray silicone or use silicone grease on my black leather but I think I'll just keep it as it is, I'm trying to make it feel a bit more grippy and smooth.

I just noticed that my red one has a small tear on the top left side. I think it's from taking the case on and off. I'm pretty bummed about it. :(

It looks closer to a saddle brown or could be just the lighting. Do you often place your index finger in that dark center spot?

Update, they let me exchange it for a new one. Got the sea blue. This is one of the many reasons I love Apple.

Did you have to show proof of purchase? And how long since you had purchased the Product red case? Reason I ask is because I bought my leather cases from a different retail store.

Receipt wasn't all that important because I had difficulty trying to find it in my email. The Apple guy eventually was like, let me do it without a receipt....but then I found it. I purchased it a month after the 7 came out. But I think if you have an issue with your case, I'd take it back to apple.

Not even a phone number so they could look it up in their system? Sorry I'm asking a lot but the Apple Store is quite a long drive from where I am and I remembered once calling Apple care line and was told I can only exchange the case if I had bought it from an Apple Store within the 14days since purchased.

I've got the black and brown atm, was thinking about the product red but considering these cases don't come cheap ,I'll stick to what I got. They match the color of my shoes and belt accordingly

How well have your cases been holding up to everyday use ? That's if you use it everyday
[doublepost=1489659960][/doublepost]Oh and do you have any scratches on the bottom exposed part of your phone ?

I use mine every day since mid October. it's the only case I have. It shows scuffs and scratches way too easily. I use hand cream on mine to make it look like in the second picture. But I had enough and ordered a silicone one. I hope it won't fall apart :)

No scratches on the exposed part. With a little attention when you insert the charging cable it will be fine.

Just uploaded an iPhone leather case comparison to YT. It includes the apple Leather case.

The point of a case is to protect the phone. I have experience with both the Nomad and the Apple leather case. While yes, the buttons on the apple leather case feel good, the horween leather Nomad uses has a better, more natural finish and will patina better. It also at least protects the bottom. The button issue is not that big a deal. I have to say, I'm not sure why you are centering your review of a leather case around button feedback, when the two main aspects of a leather case should be leather quality and protection.

I've had previous experience with the leather Vaja uses, and their leather just doesn't age well.

I've had a lot of experience with the leather horween puts out, especially on wallets, boots, etc and it is superior to the leather of whatever tannery Apple is using to source their leather. Also it is superior to Vaja. This is especially true for a scenario where the leather will get beat up, and the leather of horween will definitely look better after getting beat up.

While protection and longevity are important I believe that when it comes to these type of cases other big factors are usability and presentation. I've actually had a couple of drops in the Apple leather and it has held up well. Additionally, I am still using both the Apple leather case and the Vaja case and they have aged very well. It was a close battle but in the end presentation and usability trumped the toughness of the leather for me, especially when we're talking about a case that is not primarily purchased for protection IMHO. We're not talking Otterbox or Lifeproof here after all. In the end it's just opinions though. :)

BTW, thanks for checking out the video and for the feedback.
