Wow! It's definitely darker! I like that! Here's my girlfriends sea blue case, it's been on the phone since launch day and has taken many drops.
I have the black one and it's scuffed but doesn't have much character in comparison

Jesus, that was a sea blue case? Has it been to a war zone or something?
Haha! We have a 7 month old daughter who loves expensive gadgets
I use this to darken leather. I believe I learned d of this product on this forum. This is an Apple leather case in gray that i darkened to gat it closer to my gray/black iPhone 7 Plus.
This is somewhat how it looks. Apologies for the crappy photo
It is not black like the iPhone giving it an artisan leather quality, but definitely darker than gray.
Like the coconut oil mentioned earlier, use it sparingly. This small container is a lifetime supply for small leather goods.

I think that may just be normal patina you are seeing. All the leather cases I have had darken there first.Do jean stains come out? The front of my case has dark lines going down it bc of my jeans. Back is perfect. Wearing regular Levi blue jeans. Saddle brown case.
Oh ok. Not a big deal but it looks like someone just colored the front with a sharpie lol.I think that may just be normal patina you are seeing. All the leather cases I have had darken there first.
Black.Just got the black leather. How does it look after being
"Patina-fied"? Lol
I'd advise against any sort of treatment to the Apple leather case. I've just had to buy another one after applying leather conditioner on my old one. I hardly put any one but it just made the case sticky and not as nice as brand new. I think you should just be patient and let the leather mature naturally.
It would depend on what and how you put it on. I use both coconut oil(solid) and leather conditioner and it transforms the case from a slippery plastic feeling case to something that resembles leather in both texture(albeit a little) and grip.
This is what I used. Lexol and as I say, I only put a tiny amount on.

Yeah, maybe that's why. Anyhow, with my new one I'm just going to leave alone. That says leather cleaner and not leather conditioner, could this be the cause of your problems?

What shade of black?
Just...black. Doesn't turn any color. Just black. I bought a second one in saddle brown last week and it's slowly patina-fying itself.
