I love the patina the Apple Leather Tan and Sea Blue case have developed. Also the Patina on the Nomad looks good. I can post pictures if you guys want.

But the best and my favorite is the Tan!

My black Apple leather seems to dent real easy. Had the phone in my car mount and it left indentations in the leather case that match the outlines of the mount perfectly. It's been a couple of days and the indentations are still present on the back of my leather case.

Anyone else notice this problem with the Apple leather cases?

When you try to grip the case from the sides and squeeze it gently...you can feel a wiggle room.
Take it back and exchange it. It shouldn't be like that. Mine is tight.

Has anyone patina-ed the RED case? I'm intrigued by this natural leather tanning idea
My red is too bright imo. Ive been wondering if I can make it darker too.

No they are dark dark circles. Can't get rid of em. Oh well

So I made mine darker by putting in grounded coffee. How do I get the coffee smell out? Lmao. I washed it but no dice. My fingers smell like coffee it's awful haha

This case is one day old. I contacted Apple and told them I used coconut oil to speed up the darkening and I messed up lol, they told me to even exchange it and its not the first time they have heard of it.

My next one ima leave alone.

Do you think they'd exchange my black case because after putting on leather conditioner it's sticky? I only put a little on but can't wash it off. I personally think you're better off leaving the leather cases to mature on their own.

LOL, I can't believe it's proving to be difficult to use the coconut oil for some of you guys. I guess it should be noted not to use a big glop on the case but to just dampen your finger with it and massage it into the leather. A little goes a long way.

I seen the nomad case at best but does anyone know is it any better than the Apple leather case in terms of quality etc ? Thanks

No offense but they should definitely not let you return it because you have ruined it by putting leather conditioner on it... Same goes for anyone else putting crap on it then expecting a refund when it goes wrong. o_O

I did a comparison review of leather cases on YouTube and the Nomad and Apple case were in that comparison. I would say the leather quality on the Nomad is on par if not a little better than the Apple case and it even has more coverage but it doesn't have the clicky buttons that the Apple case does. In the end I preferred the Apple case.

I agree. Just thought I read somewhere here that someone did do.

I had the nomad case in black for about 6 months, but had an issue when the bottom extra plastic coverage broke, this began to dangle a little and so I have replaced it with the saddle brown Apple case and really like it a lot better, the apple case feels thinner, but offers enough protection and it allows me to put my phone into a speaker dock without removing the case.

I used a lanolin/mineral oil mixture that I've used for years on baseball gloves and found it to be a little lighter than the coconut oil finish, but still a little darker than the original, and yes a little goes a long way.

My gray one has become almost black if you will over time.

Time to get a new one as I didn't want this dark with the gray but I knew it would get there eventually.

Got mine just now and i'm kind of dissapointed. I was hoping for more character/creases etc. Only one beautiful corner.
Oh well, i'm still keeping it.

Does anyone have pics of the storm grey after using it for a while? Like how does it look with patina? I'm debating whether to get the storm grey or black on a matte black iPhone 7.

Funny because I think it's this very thread where people were complaining about not having smoothness all around because it had too many creases and marks LOL. Goes to show everyone has different taste. Either way they start looking even better with age.

I cant get a pic if you will but I am not a fan of the gray as mine looks almost completely black. I also have the matte back iPhone 7+

I may go back to the brown leather as it just looks so classy

I don't mind if it turns darker, in fact that's what I'm looking for in the leather case. I want the color to be either a darker shade of grey or charcoal black. Make sense?I'd still appreciate some photos.

I had the same experience. I was intrigued with Horween leather and complete coverage, but the plastic under shell was too stiff and I appreciate The aluminium buttons on the Apple case.

Here's my girlfriends sea blue case, it's been on the phone since launch day and has taken many drops.
I have the black one and it's scuffed but doesn't have much character in comparison
