Im hopeing for more of a iTunes match delay but from the sound of it it wont be out around November 15th more like towards the 25-30th :\
...and they're repeating their mistake. The confirmation of the delay says that the release will come by the end of November... Then why say NOVEMBER ALL MONTH LONG? It's really like December since it'll come at the end. Just pute "Late November" on the label or December and arrive "early".

No one here seems to understand English. "By the end of November" means any time between now and the last day of November. Meaning they could release it on Friday, or next week, or two weeks from now, and it would still be before the end of November. What it means most likely for apple is "we're a bit behind, but just in case there's a show stopper bug, we gave ourselves an extra month to get it out the door."
And you know that for a fact? Because I'd love to hear what the source of such a statement is, except there isn't one.
Exactly. BY the end of November. That means the latest it will be released is then. Nothing in that sentence even implies, let alone states, that it won't be released before then.

That statement doesn't rule out the 1st or 2nd of November. However, logic makes it unlikely. I'd assume that the Apple employee interviewed by CNET would have stated that it was delayed only a few days.
well it sounds like they where planning on releasing iTunes 11 with the iPad mini since it says 11 is required on the box and this is a last minute delay.. so those who said why didnt they tell us this at the event or sooner than the 2nd to last day of the month, there ya go.
18 days are a long time. Apple, what're you thinking ? Would be change "November" to "December" ?
Not really liking this trend. iTunes Match late last year. iTunes 11 late this year. What's next? You want to keep your fans happy, you underpromise and overdeliver. Apple is overpromising and underdelivering here. Can't help but be disappointed. No amount of "take your time, just make it perfect" comments from fanboys will matter - they delivered a flawed Match last year, remember (and it's still in effect now. Desperately hoping all is righted come iTunes 11.)
I doubt they'll release it before mid-November. We'll get 10.7.1 probably Thursday to support the iPad mini and 4th-generation iPad.
I would almost bet they wanted to release it at the iPad mini event but just didn't have enough time to work out the bugs.
Not to derail the thread, but the Lucas sell is a good thing, IMO. Star Wars movies without Lucas' horrible writing? Yes, please.

The new iTunes is taking longer than expected and we wanted to take a little extra time to get it right. We look forward to releasing this new version of iTunes with its dramatically simpler and cleaner interface, and seamless integration with iCloud before the end of November.
And because of that, it will come out before thanksgiving. Apple is shut down the whole week of the 19th. It'll come either next week or the following one. No later than the 16th.
