New lifeproof nuud iPhone 5

Just left Mall of GA Best Buy with a Nuud. They had quite a few whites but only 2 Blacks. I checked all the home buttons and many are crooked but there are a few that are perfect.
The screen protector is not oleo as far as I can tell.
I'm having a tough time deciding. I really like my Fre. It's the earth color and the screen is really good on this one. I won't keep both. Well see.
So once people start finding them who is going to be the one to test it with one of the glass protectors? if it works that is certainly going to be the combo I go with.
Yah I would love it for someone to be brave enough to try a glass protector with their need and water test it for us
Lol it will not fit with a glass screen protector. Unless it is cut out for the center section of the nuud opening like the one they send. The seal has to press against the screen glass to make it water tight, and then the case seal for the back portion also has to be compressed. It already presses against phone tightly and snaps into place, no way would a glass screen protector fit. I am sure there are thin glass ones, but I wouldn't even chance it with a non glass one (that goes beyond the screen opening)
So u just went to a BB store even though it shows out of stock online but it was in stock in store?
both best buy's near me showed them in stock online, one didn't have them out or in the back, two people looked and the other best buy didn't have them on the shelf or in the back, i found them on the mobile phone station desk

Yep. I was out heading to a meeting and dropped in to check. They had them and it showed no stock online as early as this morning.

Even though my Home Button is nearly perfect, I can turn mine with a bit of pressure. It has some play.
The white one in the picture above is about the worst I have seen. I checked the 6 white ones and the 2 black ones in Best Buy when I was there and none were that bad. Most were just slightly tilted.
Yeah, I figured the button should be able to be moved. It looks like it should be moveable from the pictures I have seen, so should not be a huge issue.
I am going by BB after I get off work, and see if they have any. I am looking for the white one which seems to be easier to find. I don't live in a big city or really that close to one, so I think they should have some. Also we have a mall right next to the BB store that has a mobile BB in it. Between the two of them I think I should be able to find one.
I am still not sold on the Nuud case though. I like the Fre pretty will, and just don't know if I trust the Nuud. Also $90 just seems a like lot of money to me. I want to see it in person before I can make up my mind.

Ok, first, I've gotta say, I love this case. I've always hated the screen protector on the Fre, but I had no idea how much it affected the screen quality. The screen looks so much better now.
Now, here are my thoughts after having the case for a little while. The home button on mine is slightly crooked. It is not fixable.. It's glued to a silicon membrane and you can twist it a bit, but it goes right back to where it was. The home button also feels weird and a little soft and not centered when you push it. It's not bad and I'm sure I'll get used to it, but it's not as solid feeling as the ipad nuud home button.
I think it's slightly thicker than the Fre case. But only very slightly.
The membrane for the ear piece is definitely different than the fre and the membrane for the speaker and mic look similar, but may be slightly different. There is additional plastic around the speaker membrane.
It does not fit into my Fre belt clip... Or at least it doesn't fit well. As someone mentioned earlier, the clip doesn't come down all the way and it won't lock. I called lifeproof about this and they said that there is a newer revision of the belt clip that they are sending me to replace mine.
I've had my belt clip since the first day they were available at best buy, so I definitely have the first revision, but it sounded like the newer revision has been out for a while, so hopefully if you bought your clip more recently it will fit.
I'll post some pictures of the nuud next to the Fre later tonight.

I really like the case so far too. My only concern is the back clear piece. I've only had the case a day and its already starting to show a lot of scratches.
Oh, one more note. I'm running the iOS 7 beta and it's not too difficult to activate the control center with the nuud on. It's easier on the fre, but I can do it every time with the nuud.
I do find that I hit the edge of the case a bit when I'm typing and hit letters toward the edge of the screen, but it just feels a little weird and doesn't really affect my typing. I'm sure I'll get used to it.

I did check and it does appear that the Fre back fits on the Nuud front. I put it on and it seemed to seal and all. I'm not sure I'd actually trust it to be waterproof, though, unless lifeproof confirms that you really can do that.

Honestly, that was my first thought when I saw the back. Obviously I don't have any scratches yet, but it certainly seems like it might be prone to them. The plastic is similar to the clear back on the ipad nuud case, but the iphone nuud back seems slightly less soft and a sligtly more brittle. Not that I feel that it's brittle or likely to break... I'm just having a hard time coming up with a good word to describe it.
I'm really liking the case too but in some ways I am missing the Fre. The back is definitely going to scratch and I enjoy the colors of the Fre. I am not having any real issues typing but I do bump the bezel more than expected. I will put it this way, if the Fre had a screen protector that did not show any slicks, I would rather have it. I like the fully protected front better and I like the back of the Fre better as well. I am going to live with the Nuud for a few days and see if I change my mind. I am Premier Silver with Best Buy and have 60 days but I don't think it will take me that long to decide. I just have to get past that "having to have the latest case" phase and see what my real feeling are.
