Does the video card still work though with 10.10.1 regardless of the web driver?

https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1440150/

Here's a rough list of when new cards started working.

* GK110B (GTX 780, GTX 780 Ti etc) needs 10.9.2 and 331.01.01f01
* GM107 (GTX 750) and GM204 (GTX 970, GTX 980 etc) need 10.10 and 343.01.XX.XX

So no, the Maxwell cards need the web driver to function. NVIDIA should have a driver out within the next 24 hours.

The only issue is that the web drivers installer is OS X version locked.
The actual drivers work fine on 10.10.1 (look at screenshot)

So basically if you have the drivers already installed then you can freely update.
Alternatively you can bypass the native installer by using Pacifist to get the 10.10.1 beta web drivers running.

Hello!
Short report:

Mac pro 5.1
VGA: GTX 970
OSX: Yosemite 10.10.1
nv web driver: WebDriver-343.01.02f01.pkg
CUDA driver: cudadriver-6.5.25-macos.dmg

So do all of the 970/980s work under Yosemite? There's multiple models of EVGA, MSI and Gigabyte.
I have this one:

On the windows side of things for gamers...
344.75 WHQL Geforce Game Ready Driver

Difference in fps between pci 1.0 and 2.0 won't be much I would have thought, best to use a 16 lane obviously.

Cuda is working, fantastic! I will try 10.10.1 with my EVGA GTX 980 soon and report back. Very good news, thanks!

It's interesting that my several years old GTX570 is faster at Double Precision Float. I wonder how important that is in real applications that use CUDA like Premiere Pro?

Pretty sure Double Precision Float (64 Bit) abilities come into play with
mathematical simulations.

CUDA is still not working for me on 10.10.1 with the latest Driver and Cuda version.

Hmmmm....I have the EVGA GTX 980 SC 4GB card.

Does anyone know how i get rid of the cuda update driver warning?

Hi. Does anybody work with CUDA and DaVinci Resolve 11 ? I'd be interested to know if it works fine with the GTW 980. Thanks
