I signed up for waitlist on Monday night (Eastern Daylight Time) and I'm still waiting... I could just bypass it on my Neo but I'm trying to be patient. If I don't have access by tomorrow I'll probably just do the bypass trick and then hope my M5 iPad Pro gets access soon after.

Mines only took a little over a day to get off from it

I’m in the same boat as you. I think we’ll get it soon.

You do NOT need a new Apple ID if yours is not from the US. It’s only the Region setting that matters. My Apple ID is not even from an English speaking country nor is my developer account and I still got it.
Interesting.
Also, I just joined the waitlist on my M1 Pro just fine. Let’s see if it’s worth it there.

Did anyone else see something like this?

1. Install 27 beta on an iPad + join Siri AI waitlist
2. Notification eventually appears on your iPhone running iOS 26 saying "Finish setting up Siri"
3. Tap the notification, but "Apple Intelligence and Siri" Settings page looks normal
4. Back on the iPad, still waitlisted and indexing

I don't remember seeing this notification before, but it popped up on my iPhone 15 Pro a day or two after joining the Siri AI waitlist on my iPad Air M3. I was excited to see it, thinking the iPad may show a happy "you're off the waitlist" notification, but no such luck.

context:

* Region US, language US English etc, but "Voice" on both devices was set to "Irish Voice 4" bc it's cheery. Could the Irish voice have been the issue? Since then I changed it to one of the American voices, but still no luck.

* originally, I'd installed OS 26 on the iPad restoring from an iPad Mini backup, also of OS 26. Strange provisioning glitch at the time: the "Old Siri" globe would keep popping up when invoking Siri, not the new edge effect, despite Apple Intelligence being enabled. I had to disable AI, reboot a few times, then re-enable it to get the edge effect and ChatGPT integration. This happened months before the 27 beta came out and I installed it. Could there be lingering weird state?

To everyone here complaining they haven’t been approved yet:

consider yourself lucky you’re on the waitlist at all unlike people with an EU Apple ID 🙃
Really, we’re doing you a favor by not plugging it up even more
mines got off waitlist a day and 5 hrs after installing the beat on Monday. and my iPhone stopped indexing on Thursday morning it finished. I have an iPhone 15 pro.

I bypassed on my Mac two days ago and I still don’t have access on my phone.
Same, still waiting for Siri. I did the Mac bypass command and it’s working great on there.

If I use the command siri:// in the Safari browser to open the currently hidden iOS app, the Siri conversation is syncing great. Just being blocked now by this ridiculous wait list.

Same thing happened to me (besides the iPad stuff). It ended up going away eventually. I think after I restarted my phone? Can’t remember for sure.

Got the notification just now (I joined the waitlist Monday afternoon).

I share this screenshot because it confirms you don't need to be done indexing for new-Siri to be enabled.

Been on the waitlist since Tuesday morning. On an iPhone 16 residing in Norway. I can wait... I can wait...
(I'm about to go insane)

Finally just got the notification that I have the new Siri AI on my M5 iPad Pro. I updated to iPadOS about 6 hours after the keynote. My iPad Pro is still indexing. I am in Canada and have my language and region settings as English Canada.
