Have been on the waitlist since Tuesday at noon. Decided to restart my phone just now and now I’m off the waitlist.

If you haven’t restarted maybe give that a shot. Also indexing is no longer showing.

Edit: nvm, indexing is back…but I’m off the waitlist.

Edit2: weird…now I’m back on the waitlist again…even after it downloaded the new Siri app.

Got it 4 days after applying for it. No notification, just saw the app on my Home Screen. Expressive voices doesn’t work, but that’s ok. Still indexing.

why is everyone posting / complaining that their phones are still indexing when apple has said to developers and some media people that the initial index could take a over a week? potentially 2 weeks, remembering that previous iOS updates they often did too, but they didn't tell you. This change is more to stop users from crying that their battery life on a new os sucks for the first week. ( well it won't stop most people.. but it will stop a few )

Still waiting in Texas, updated on Tuesday morning. Indexing done. Forced new Siri on my M4 Max after updating to Golden Gate. Question though, shouldn’t I have the new voice settings for Siri since I’m on beta 1?

Interesting (or at least I find it interesting) here in Australia I get the text “Joined Waiting List” rather than “Joined Waitlist”.
How different our cultures are! 😁

The point is that this should not have ever made it out of alpha testing or internal testing. I see they are following the Ubiquiti approach now.
Most people here are happy with what we got. If it doesn't meet your expectations, you don't have to use it. But you can't decide for everyone else what should or shouldn't be made available to developers.
