Personally I love the look and feel of it (moleskin-ish). It gives a tad bit more grip than the naked back. I had a phantom skin back (rubbery zagg-like) on for a short time but did not like the tactile feeling. It looked tacky and also stuck to certain surfaces like glass. Perhaps a matte back protector would be better. I'd also like to point out the adhesive on the bookback is very strong (and reusable). I've had an SGP leather back for my iphone 4 and it shrank and shifted over time (as do some clear protectors). But I don't see this one budging anytime soon.
Love the look of this will have to consider it once some reviews come out. The Spigen ultra flip looks nice too, I especially like the cutout for the earpiece (and that it doesn't stick). But the SurfacePad looks like quality material.

I agree. I've passed on a lot of cases because they didn't cover that aluminum
They do watch the video they put up. It's a folio case, so it won't be for everyone usage wise. Personally I love the concept and have two colors coming.
Oh yeah I just watched it. For a folio it is indeed much cleaner looking, most cases of this type have some sort of flap or belt, this one is much sleeker.

In that weird video they have perhaps 1 second showing this. I went thru it about 5 times to find it, and then had to pause on the screen when I actually did. Folded back it has that standard problem of doubling the thickness of the phone. I would bet this is why all the still photos are using ear buds. A couple of creases in the design and it could have folded back almost flat.
Still a really pretty design, and there are times where I would really like this level of screen protection.
It would surprise me if the shipping is actually < $10 if they were to use USPS.
(And as it turns out, as of 01.27.2013, if it fits a USPS Flat Rate Envelope, it ships around the world for $23.95 as opposed to $16.95)

Hmm, you know that's an excellent point, the other stick-on types of cases I used I always ended up applying them onto thin snap-ons, that way I had the benefits of the case style (wallet, pouch, this folio style, etc.) without being "stuck" with it and I retained the ability of swapping it around with other cases as the need arose. Also you wouldn't have to worry about "testing" how many hundreds (or perhaps maybe only dozens) of times the sticky back keeps on holding...
Dang, even though I'm not a folio user type, I have just justified getting myself one a these. It's a disease, I tell ya!
As soon as there hits a coupon code on Spigens store I'll pick that beauty up.

That's weird I ordered two days ago and it's been shipped. Gonna get here Tuesday from what it says. Hope it comes monday though!

I use Runkeeper on my iphone when running and am wondering how the adhesive will hold up to me taking it on and off the case to fit in my armband.
Because it doesn't look good. The same goes for cutouts for the unlock slider and caller id, which is even worse.
