Fantasy

2. GPS Tracker for Geocaching

<--- Geocaching rocks!!! are you talking about just a GPS reciever? or what do you mean by tracker. cause you can get a GPSr for about $100 (doesnt have all the cool functions or mapping of a $400 modle, but a $100 model still works for geocaching (and can be more fun/ challenging at times)

as for my list

Fantasy:
1 Mac mini rev B
2 el gato eye tv
3 large external HD for mac mini (put 1-3 together and you have an awsome TiVo that you dont have to pay a monthly fee for!!!)
4 macintel powermac (er whatever the top of the line will be once the intels are out)
5 30" apple monitor, come on this is fantasy side
6. oh yeah, and the powerPod (videoPod or whatever it may be!!)

reality
1. iPod shuffle dock (with the $50 i get from the iPod battery settelment)
2. im a college student and have no money
3. i will probably do a bad thing and get a videoPod on credit if they come out with one of those in the next year before i graduate and have real job
4. see #2
5. you get the idea

1. Music off of the ITMS
2. A new cell phone.
3. An updated Power Mac...whenever it comes out.
4. Xserve G5 or an Xserve Raid 3.5TB - Don't know which one I need more yet.
5. A new iPod - bought w/ the new PM.

I am sure I will buy some more things between the 5 that I listed.

1: iBook 12" as soon as they are upgraded
2: Nikon D50 camera to replace old Canan A20.
3: JBL on Stage speakers for my iPod Photo 30G
4: Sonos Digital Music System (down the line) Really hoping they add video support in the future!
5: need new scanner and color photo printer, but haven't even looked into this yet.

I'm looking at the $100 receiver. I've never actually done Geocaching but a friend of mine is really into it and it looks fun. Despite it only being $100, its still on my "fantasy list" for now. Hopefully I'll have one before summer's end.

1. SONY HVR-Z1
2. 2 GB RAM for my Dual G5 PowerMac.
3. Another 30" Cinema Display.
4. iTunes Mobile Phone
5. Used Pentium 4 Desktop (for WMA encoding, website testing, etc)

Hmmm...Top 5

I'll make this basically realistic.

1. Updated 14" iBook with Combo + 1 gig of crucial ram
2. Harmon Kardon Soundsticks II (Practically made for the iBook!)
3. Lacie external dvd/rw drive-refurbished
4. Nikon Coolpix-Exact Model TBD
5. 1 gig iPod shuffle once they're too cheap to pass up (come on 2 gig!)

For My iBook:
  1. 8 Port USB Hub
  2. 14" iBook Sleeve
  3. Travellers Power Adapter Kit (Australia Next Year :))
  4. And another 2 things for my iBook which I havn't thought of yet . . .

::20ROGERSC::

There's no such thing as an 8-port USB hub. There's 7-port hubs though.

Here's some ideas for your iBook:
- iSight
- iPod
- Flash media reader
- External DVD-RW, dual-layer burner
- A pack of gum
- World of Warcraft
- Chocolate chip cookies
- Logitech scrollwheel mouse

hmmm actually I already bought all my desired gadgets this year and last year.
I would like to upgrade the HD of my mini to 120 GB 5400rpm this year as soon as it hits the price I'm willing to pay for it.

edit: wait, I also would like to buy the imic as soon as it's available in the Netherlands (perhaps I'll try to find it somewhere else)

Skubish,

That's an awesome deal. I'm pretty sure it's still $150 for the Student/Teacher edition at UNF, is your version that or the standard? I'd really like to get a copy for cheap. One of the guys I work with actually got a copy from his brother's college for $7.

Wish List:

1. New Power Mac
2. AppleCare
3. 30" Cinema Display
4. Elgato EyeTV
5. increased RAM & HD

Hrmmm...technology only.

1. A 20" iMac with all the goodies for my significant other.
2. A 60" Bang and Olufsen plasma TV, stereo and suround sound system.
3. A 30-inch Cinema Display
4. A Canon 1DS MK II
5. A nice prosumer video cam, like the Sony FX-1

All that aside, I need to buy a house, so that's where that money would be better spent, but fantasy is fun.

Ah.. next five purchases!

1. Some shampoo
2. Tofu sandwich
3. pay for vienna
4. College
5. Gas money

OH! TECH-RELATED, gotcha.

1. (win another) 15" powerbook to immediately sell for vienna $.
2. iTMS, probably.
3. Umm... If I meet Steve Jobs, I'll get him a Tofu Sandwich! (that's tech related)
4. Probably some batteries.
5. Umm... A tofu sandwich. (so I can stay up all night, goofing off on my PB)

I'm actually pretty happy with all my Tech right now. I'd like a TV that can double as a sharp monitor (read: be able to read, while I'm sitting on the couch) and some RAM. But those aren't vital and waaayyy to expensive.

*head pops*
Wait, what!? I don't want to go spend my life's savings on Apple stuff?
*faints*
*comes back from fainted to say*:This is a first.
*faints again* (or is it *re-faints* ?)
:p

1. iPod
2.PSP
3.iBook next Rev
4.More music CD's
5.Nice digital camera (thinking casio exilim)

ShadOW :)
