1. New PowerBook (either once they're updated or 1st week of sept<--my drop dead date).

2. One of those griffin guitar to mini-jack cables (forget name)

3. Bluetooth keyboard

4. Bluetooth Mouse

5. Extra USB iPod cable (mines plugged in behind a bookshelf...wicked annoying).

My next five computer-related purchases will be along the lines of...

1. Colour ink cartridge for my printer
Because I've run out of ink.

2. A new USB cable
Because my old one is a bit short and won't reach my printer now I've got a new desk and I've moved stuff around.

3. Some more RAM.
Because you can never have too much.

4. A comfy new chair
Because my current one isn't that comfy...

5. iPod Shuffle (512MB version)
Because I'm finally getting off my arse and joining a gym and I need something to help ease me into this 'exercise' thing.

1. Canon Powershot A520 digital camera

2. TV (Still looking, undecided, under $700 widescreen)

3. Airport Express

4. Moto phone with itunes

5. New imac or mac mini with intel inside

1. usb/firewire hub for powerbook
2. bigger+faster HD for powerbook
3. 20" apple display (saw it in apple store, fell in love, its the PERFECT size)
4. ipod video (god hoping they're released soon)
5. Rev B intel based powerbook 15"

1. Apple Care for my powermac
2. Soundcard for my powermac
3. Extrenal dual layer dvd burner
4. Raptor harddrive
5. Radeon X850XT (once I sell my much hated Nvidia 6800 DLL)

reality, um nothing for a while just bought a 2005 vespa gt200L :D

All purchases are off until I finish school next year. But here is the top 5 as soon as school is out.
1. Nikon D70
2. 20" Apple cinema display
3. External Harddrive
4. Audi A3
5. Taylor Made R7. I work in the golf industry what can I say!

In reality I will have to pay off my school loan first. But I went to school to get a better higher paying job so I could afford to do the things in life that I want.

school stuff

well i need everything because ive waited so long.
and im going off to college so.
1. rev.b ibook or 12 inch PB
2.Adobe photoshop cs2
3.wacom intuos3 4x5
4.art supplies
5.other stuff for school

What a fun gear-headed thread idea!

1. Another 250GB LaCie D2 Extreme drive for audio recording.
2. Alesis is about to release the MultiMix 16 FireWire , which is a really intriguing prospect. It's an audio mixer with 8 mic channels, 4 stereo line channels, and a built-in FireWire audio interface. It can send each channel independently to the computer for recording. It's $500; I don't feel I could afford $1175 for the Mackie Onyx 1620 plus FireWire add-on. When the manuals are available for the Alesis, I'm going to evaluate it very eagerly.
3. Multi-button/scroll BlueTooth mouse? I'll have to find one I like better than the ones I've seen so far.
4. An iPod that can record uncompressed (at least) 16bit/44.1KHz audio from a microphone or line input. Oh, yeah, they don't make one.
5. Hard to say whether #5 will be a DV camcorder or a new Apple portable. If the latter, I'm still debating which one.

But then lately I'm thinking a nice vacation ought to rank more highly in my plans and budget. I sure love Brazilian music . . .

Crikey

1. External Hard Drive, 160 or 250 Mb. Preferably pretty. I've been living on the permanent-data-loss-edge too long.
2. Sony DSC-H1. Real time histogram goodness. 12x optical zoom should be good enough.
3. JVC Everio GZ-MC20. Forget those pesky MiniDV tapes, gimme a hard disk...when those prices come down.
4. Crumpler The Moderate Embarrassment. My PB deserves better than a cheep freebie lappy bag.
5. Motorola's iTunes phone ;) Can't wait to ditch Verizon!

The Casio Privia PX-100 digital piano so I can finally truly learn to play (and maybe have fun with GarageBand).

Just about any laptop light enough for me to carry around when out of town - not lug around. Of course a 12" PowerBook to complement my iMac would be ultimate... :)

Reality being paying off credit card debt through eBay selling, sigh.

Just a bit of fun, why not list the next 5 computer related purchases you'd like to or going to buy. Here are mine:

  • SONY HandyCam HC22
    - I've been looking at DV Cams, and this is small and good quality, it's reasonably inexpensive.
  • KODAK C330
    - Our digital camera just broke, it was afterall nearly 4 years old though. It served us well but now my family has decided to go separate ways. Mum'll buy something a little more expensive I imagine, whereas I'm going to go for this 4MP 3x Optical simple camera.
  • SONY Ericsson K750i
    - My Phone contract just ran out so its time for a new one. I need to choose a phone and I'm leaning towards the K750i. Not only does it sync fully with iSync, but it plays MP3s (for when I don't have my iPod on me) and best of all has a fairly decent 2MP camera!
  • Canon PIXMA IP4000R
    - I've been looking for a Wireless printer (this is WiFi, not Bluetooth) for some time and I recently tried this one out in PC World. It's really fantastic quality (enough for me anyway) and is sleek in black. As people who know me will know, I HATE cables, having a wireless printer is perfect.
  • New iBook
    - When Apple decide to release the New iBooks, I'll be bloody happy. I wish ThinkSecret would stop reporting things, as I feel Apple is trying to destroy TS's credibility by reading its rumours and then doing the complete opposite. Whatever spec this may be, I want one.

Is the Canon PIXMA IP4000R the ONLY printer from Canon that is WiFi?

1. iBook G4 12"
2. 1 Gig Crucial Ram
3. Carrying Case/Sleeve (School Hymn)
4. iCurve
5. BT Keyboard/Mouse (Matching White)

1. 7-port usb hub
2. more diet rockstar--im almost out. (tech-related, i guess)
3. 2x 120mm fans and 1x 60mm fan
4. battlefield 2 :D
5. another outlet strip for all my power cords

1) cell phone with hi res digital cam...to catch those redneck, barnboy drag racers who think that the public roads are fair play for drag racing (in race central northern california...sonoma and laguna seca... and "opening up" the motor on the road (this coming from a man, who was once a boy, who grew up on "duke's of hazzard" ;)

2) ibook, for a portable with at least 512 mb of ram

3) emac, for a desktop

or

4) mini mac, for a desktop

5) ipod of any capacity since i love music and have never owned an mp3 player

1. G5 PowerMac. Preferrable something cheaper than $2000. Like a new single 2.0GHz, or dual core.

2. 2GB of RAM for it to add to the 512MB.

3. Second hard drive. ~300-500GB.

4. An iPod mini if it can do voice recording. Otherwise, a regular iPod with a bunch of accessories.

5. A new camcorder. The Sony HD ones look nice, but a bit expensive for what I need. Maybe just one in the ~$1,000 range that doesn't suck. External microphone, long battery life, and top loading tapes are musts.
