Next iPad needs to have something special that the iPhone doesn´t have

You know there´s something called "casual use" and "serious/pro use".
You learn new things everyday.
I might add:
Laptop/desktop: Serious use (and casual).
iPad: Casual use.
iPhone: Casual and serious use (the phone).

my bank is testing using ipads for greeting customers. workers at apple use ipads for certain tasks, many thousands of businesses are using ipads for their sheer ease of use, tiny form factor and amazing battery life!
the ipad IS good for professional use.
Why can´t you use a 13" MacBook Pro to take notes in class? Much faster with a physical keyboard. And you have to buy one anyway, if you buy an iPad.

This gave me an idea. Maybe Apple could free iPad from the syncing and make it actually a standalone product. This would be a killer feature. But I don´t know if they can make this happen, if the use same iOS. And probably they don´t even want to give up that control.
Why would you buy the same device twice? The other one being also very stripped down version of the other one.

I guess you can't read. After activating at the Apple Store, you never NEED to connect it to a computer again.

True. But you're right. It isn't different. The iPads better. Better to do one thing great great than 3 things good.
WHY ? They are selling far greater numbers than most people predicted regardless - proving that it already has something special. Just because it's allure can not be defined does not mean it's lacking.
Also it is not competing in the same space as the iPhone - regardless of the fact it uses iOS, therefore your assertion that it needs something more to differentiate it is also meritless. The fact that iPad sales & iPhone sales have not been impacted by each other is testament to that.
We all know that next revision will be small incremental changes. Facetime camera's, maybe updated processor and more ram. That will probably be the only changes to iPad revision 2.
Yes, carrying a separate keyboard and iPad is very convenient.
Plus those two things costs extra of course on top of the laptop/desktop you have to own.I´ll say it again, it´s not a standalone product.

I wouldn´t mind having one, but like I said, now it is waste of money, so I won´t buy one.
So that´s why I´m hoping it will have something cool in the next model. Something that I can´t do with my iPhone 4. So it will be actually worth the money.

Touchy, Thats exactly why I like iPads
