If it ships on the third day then that's not 2 day shipping... And all shipping estimates show November 15th, which is the second day, not the third.

2 day shipping is when the item actually ships.....

they take 2 days to process your order as well. order on the 13th...takes 2 days...ships on the 15th. then 2 day shipping kicks in......probably won't get it until monday

My assumption is Monday as well, which is disappointing but falls within the time before I leave for the holidays, so that's all that truly matters.

But... yeah. When I order something off Amazon - one of any number of tens or hundreds of thousands of separate products warehoused in different locations - it gets to me 48 hours or less after I order, sometimes the next day. It amazes me - in a negative way - that Google can't even friggin' ship things out the door in the time it takes Amazon to get it to my doorstep.

yeah that's one thing about google....their customer service is no good. try returning something to them and you will really find out. The thing that is annoying is they make you pay for 2 day shipping....but it might as well be ground shipping for how long it takes to actually receive the products.

Yes if it comes Monday I am going to be disappointed. It shouldn't take over two effin' days to ship the thing.

If it is coming from Texas, as I read in one rumor, that shouldn't take too long for me. Heck if it was shipped UPS ground from TX to here it would probably get here by Monday too. So much for "two day" shipping when they use more than that to get them out the door.

Oh well, at least I have a tracking number. Anyone else have one? Anyone's tracking number show up in UPS's system yet?

Exactly. My shipping fee total from Google this year is essentially what I pay for Amazon Prime, which lets me ship 2-day all year long and gives me streaming video. Google lets me have the honor of paying for 2-day shipping and getting Ground Rate speeds.

google will tell you that's their process....2 days to "process" the order. the 2 day shipping is from when they actually decide to get off their butts and ship it lol. by making u pay for 2 day shipping it makes it appear like it's a quick process....but it's far from. U can't even cancel ur order during the processing period either. when you want to do a return it takes 3-4 weeks to get your money back.

I can vouch for this. Took me a month and half a dozen phone calls to Google CS in order to get a RMA number for the Galaxy Nexus I returned earlier this year. Lots of similar stories out there.

If I'm being nice I would best describe their retail experience as really, really bad.

yeah i had same issue too man. I had to dispute with my credit card to actually get my money back. took almost 4 weeks. 45 minute to hour long waits on the phone to talk to someone...when you get someone they don't know what you're talking about. they typically only operate by email, which it goes to one general box so numerous people reply...u never get the same person. i will never order from google again after my nexus experience.....

Try ordering something on Amazon with 2 day shipping. Totally different.

And following what you said, it would be 3 day shipping. 2 days of processing + another day to ship = 3 days. And that would go against what Google said, which was 2 day shipping.

Not saying I don't think it will get here on Monday. I think that is likely. But my point is that if they say 2 day shipping, they should stick to it, but they aren't.

amazon works differently man that's what i'm trying to tell you. you order before a certain cut off period and amazon will ship the item and you get it literally 2 days later. Google takes 2 days to process the order. You are confusing 2 day shipping with the entire process. 2 day shipping, is when they actually SHIP the item to you. Order processing is another step, which happens to also be 2 days.

Even if google said overnight shipping...doesn't mean you are getting it tomorrow. If the order processing takes 1 week....they will finally ship it a week later, but you will get it the very next day.

shipping=time it takes to get to you once the item is shipped
process=time it takes google to box up the item and prepare it for shipping

they are 2 different processes. 2 day shipping refers to the shipping part only....NOT the processing part. that's why it says delivery in 3-5 business days depending on how close you live to where it's shipped from.

I wish they would at least register that tracking number with UPS.

I mean it is kind of insulting to get a tracking number that "may take" up to 24 hours to just show up in the system.

If I could see it at ups.com at least I would know exactly when to expect it. It's the not knowing anything that is disturbing.

Meanwhile I am off to try and find the N4 manual to download.

Oh, and I suppose I should get some work done too. ;)

Exactly. I have even ordered stuff that was not Prime eligible and shipped UPS ground and STILL got it the next day.

Meanwhile my N4 is still on the stagecoach heading to the depot. :(

You assume too much. Your N4 is on a dock awaiting a stagecoach. However, since it is outside the warehouse, it has "shipped." Basically, soon after you ordered it, it was placed on a pallet inside the warehouse, where, like a fine wine, it was aged, but for (slightly) less time and not in oak barrels. Then, late last night, someone pushed the pallet from the inside of the warehouse to the outside and placed a Post-it note on it saying "hey, UPS, maybe you should pick these up."

Then, sometime today, when someone at the warehouse gets an Amazon order, the UPS person will notice the sticky and load the devices. Maybe. If the Post-it hasn't blown off.

You continually say 2 day processing and another day to ship. But the fact is that Google says 2 day shipping. Guess what, it has been more than 2 business days since I ordered and nothing has changed.

Google said 2 day shipping. It is not 2 day shipping.

dude really.....go back and read what I was saying and comprehend it. 2 day shipping refers to the SHIPPING not the entire process man. hence why your order has NOT shipped yet. when it SHIPS....it will arrive 2 days later. hence TWO DAY SHIPPING. get the picture now?

from google's site.....

"Shipping time

All packages are delivered via UPS two-day shipping. However, please note that it may take up to 2 business days for us to process your order for shipment. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email notification with a UPS tracking number. Your estimated time of delivery will be determined at the point that your order has been processed and shipped. It may take 24 hours for the UPS package tracking to return any information for your tracking number."

Also when you hit "add to cart" it clearly said 3-5 day shipping

2 day processing
2 day shipping

Don't get me wrong, it shouldn't take 2 days to process..not happy about that, but it is what it is

Contrary to the TX reports it appears they are coming from Worldport, the huge UPS hub in Louisville KY. That is where my iPad 3 came out of this past March.

So far at least one person has seen ups.com updated to show it in the system.

That person would not be me.

I only hope my baby is being kept warm and dry.

Yet still nothing for most people who ordered.

And please let me know where what I have said to you deserves such rudeness from you.
